Re-affirming last review. I am in US for limited time to work on my rental apartment, which desperately needs new carpet. Ordered $4000 carpet from Home Depot, told it would arrive at installers (JW Floor Covering Inc, it turns out) on 10 Aug 2022. I told them I needed it installed on 18 August, as I'd be flying out and putting the apartment up for rental. It's 11 Aug, I just called JW, they are now saying carpet won't arrive until 19 August, and they won't schedule installation until they get the carpet. I leave the country 26 August and there is no one to be here afterwards to oversee carpet installation. Also means I can't get my apartment onto the rental market till then, and have to cover the costs. Nervous! Am also considering cancelling with Home Depot, and re-adjusting order so my own carpet guy can install..I would rather they first make an appointment to install, and then if supplies don't come in, to re-adjust the appointment. This open-ended approach does not work. What if the carpet comes in and they have a back-log of work? They also own a JW Floor Covering store - do their own orders sold at their store take precedence?

Attempting to order and buy carpet to be installed by JW. The only option is to buy carpet and THEN wait for them to schedule an appointment AFTER carpet has been paid for and received. There is no way to know when they will be able to install and at that point you are 100% at their mercy. Based on previous reviews it could be months. Carpet was paid for yesterday and I received this information AFTER ordering. I will now be contacting Home Depot to try to cancel my order as I was not given another option for installers. It appears that Home Depot is guaranteeing this company business as they are the only installer allowed, leaving JW no reason to provide quality customer service. This was confirmed by my phone conversation with JW today.

After reading the reviews on the site, I was a little concerned for my project. However, I am EXTREMELY pleased with the service from the installer, Enrique R. Once he arrived, he checked all items to ensure I had what he needed to complete the project and then he got right to work. As this was my 1st floor install from HD and JW Flooring, I had a few questions and Enrique answered all of them with clarity. This enabled me to fully understand what he was going to be doing and why. He followed all COVID guidelines, masked up and distanced himself during my questioning. My floors are beautiful. I HIGHLY recommend Enrique from JW Flooring. He was very professional. Thank you JW Flooring and specifically Enrique for a great experience on this project.

Arranged carpet installation from Home Depot. Order was paid for on August 10th. JW Flooring calls me on August 18th saying the earliest install date is October 21st. Mind you, they are now in possession of all the materials needed for the job, but they don't have any workers for over two months. This is a rental property that goes for $3000 a month. A couple of weeks delay might be reasonable, but two months sitting around for these guys is unacceptable. I can install my own flooring by myself without these bozos.

Problems with Home Depot: buying and installing flooring involves several different departments, who don't appear to communicate with each other. The only thing they agree on is "it's not my job." There is no one person in charge of the entire operation. If you do anything slightly out of the ordinary the system grinds to a halt and it requires multiple phone calls to straighten things out. Problems with JW Flooring: their process begins with an e-mail and phone call basically giving you their list of non-negotiable demands - you are responsible for moving the flooring into your house, we don't move electronics, china cabinets, glass, valuables; we will unplug your appliances but won't plug them back in, etc. . This is followed up by another phone call a week later, saying the same thing. By the time they were finished I felt like an employee instead of a customer. I used Home Depot twice; the first time the installer showed up on time and did a good job. At the end of the second day it was obvious that it would take another 12 - 15 hours to finish the job. About then the supervisor showed up and told the installer to get the job completed the next day. So the next day the installer did 12 hours worth of work in 8 hours, and it looked like it. The second time the scheduler I spoke to on the phone said the job would take 3 days, but they might be able to get it done in 2. Halfway through the first day the supervisor showed up and told the installers to get the job completed by the end of the day (!). They ended up working a 12 hour day. While the supervisors were visiting (there were two of them) I overheard them discussing what a bad job the previous installer had done in the hallway. I mentioned that this was because he was rushed; they responded that it was because I had purchased poor quality flooring (from Home Depot). I pointed out that the door to the garage now had a 2 inch gap under it; they said that the door needed a threshold and "we don't do thresholds." After the job was done I realized that there was over $200 worth of unused and unopened moldings, probably because the person who does the measuring isn't the person who orders the materials. I also had to pay someone $40 to move the china cabinet out of the room. The thing that bothers me the most about both jobs is that the installers would have done a fine job if left alone, but were pressured by management to hurry up.
