Love this place! Excellent selection of materials and the customer service was outstanding! I was assisted by a gentleman named John and he was friendly, personable, helpful and extremely knowledgeable. We had a nice chat. I felt very welcome and left with all the information and materials needed for my project. I would definitely recommend Almquist lumber!

I always enjoy going to Almquist. They have everything you need if you are a woodworker. The people who work there are always very helpful. Great place to go.

Amazing place. Not cheap, but incredible selection of furniture and boatbuilding quality wood and a little veneer. Every time I come there is something different. Cocobolo, purpleheart, rosewood, Hawaiian koa, local madrona, 3 kinds of 'mahogany'. Plus all the standard hardwoods and softwood. Lloyds approved marine plywood. On a good day I can get curly redwood that takes my breath away. And a lot more. They do simple milling and cutting while you wait. Hardware, finishes, professional quality tools. And a lot more.

The people who work at Almquist are very helpful and friendly. We found they had the best prices for starter wood for our insert.

They don't seem very interested in helping select nice looking pieces of lumber. Seem like they are in a hurry to just cut the first piece they grab and get you out the door.
