My experience with Family Floors was positive. The employees at the store were very helpful and the selection of carpeting was great. The customer service was excellent. I received a call from their customer service while the installers were working and after they had finished to make sure I was satisfied.

Finished product for LVP tile in kitchen looked excellent when finished, but did have some heartache along the way. Initial meeting and quote was easy and staff was professional and courteous. Problems arose from subs used to install. Didn't remove all levels of vinyl flooring, as quoted, before laying self leveling compound which lead to uneven surface from hardwoods to LVP. Subs came without materials and ending up borrowing some of my tools to finish the job-- bucket was left full of self leveling compound and thrown away, headlamps were needed because subs left for 4-5 hours to get more material (or work another job?) and worked into darkness. Overall 4-5 hour job took about 12 hours. Frustrations were relayed to management which tried to rectify with $100 discount. Equated to 7-8% discount off the overall costs which I appreciated the effort but didn't really hit the spot for me. Would recommend if you have a very straightforward job or know enough to keep the subs on track. Bottom line: came up short in keeping installers on track which lead to unwanted results in final installation. Final product did look good, but ended up with mismatched heights in flooring that we really emphasized we didn't want during the quoting process (and were assured wouldn't happen). Not a total deal breaker but a bummer for granny's walker.

John, Family Floors guaranteed the carpet I purchased from them against the defects I am experiencing. The carpet was perfect for my home, color coordinated well with my tile. However, I told Jay it would not work in my home due to the loops in the carpet. He assured me the warranty covered any "un looping," so I purchased the carpet. I paid the cost of the carpet up-front, something I would not ordinarily do, but since the check was made out to Costco, I felt confident in doing so. Unfortunately, I am now in a position, and have been for over a year, where customer service on the part of the dealer is absent. Family floors installed hardwood floor in place of carpet in my living/dining room due to damage to my Thomasville credenza/china cabinet by Family Floor installers. I have an balance with him of $1,000 for the hardwood floor - a balance to be paid when the job is complete. It has been over a year now (the initial carpet was installed Apri 1, 2017) and the first defect was noted the day after installation). I still do not have resolution.

Google Maps still shows a photo of the domed building on Spring and Woodruff as the storefront. That is NOT the 6000 block of Spring it is a now defunct location at the 5000 block. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. Staff is very responsive via email and text about pricing, stock and making appointments to have property measured. 3rd generation family owned business. The showroom on Spring is smaller than the main showroom so selection is tighter.

Called about flooring availability and their representative was not interested helping out. She cut the conversation short, did not show any enthusiasm, and didn’t offer any alternatives. Would suggest going to one of the 100 other flooring stores nearby.
