Home Depot is a great store. Opens early enough to get an early start on the day. To lumber to patio furniture, and gardening supplies you can find it at The Home Depot. Most of the staff is knowledgeable. You can rent tools by the hour or even by the day. Some Home Depot even offer truck rentals. At Christmas time you can even purchase a fresh tree.

I was in the painting section trying to find the right product to buy for a small wood project. David really went out of his way to help me and even took the time to demo one of the coatings so I could see if I liked the amount of gloss it had. Great customer service with really knowledgeable and friendly staff. Makes me feel excited about starting my project!

2 stars because they usually have what you need if you have the time to find it. Most all of the floor staff EXCEPT for 1 and the pro desk, have no idea what or where the items are located. Heaven forbid if you need some advise. Nobody knows enough about anything to give it EXCEPT for the Pro Desk and maybe 1 employee on the floor. And you find all this out IF you find someone on the floor willing to stop and speak with you. It's just as bad in the SLO store. Go to Lowes, you'll have a better shopping experience.

Finding help is impossible, when I did walk up to a group of employees they eventually asked if I needed anything. One lady in particular was incredibly rude and insulting. With as many similiar businesses around can they afford to alienate customers. Lowe's here I come, Atascadero Home Depot is not a good store. Sad because I live in Atascadero and wpulf rather drive 20 minutes away than deal with them.
