Baila Floors taught me a $9,000 lesson. Learn from my mistake. I hired Baila to install a tile floor, stone countertop, and tile backsplash in my kitchen. They were not the cheapest estimate but I completely bought into the whole "Diamond Certified" contractor thing. I should have known something was up after I asked for a reference on the particular floor tile I was having installed. They contacted a past customer that lived in my area but didn't get a response. A short list of grievances: *Uneven floor tiles *Countertop split at the seam a few days after the install *Backsplash tile cut unevenly *ALWAYS late *Frequently didn't show and had to rescheduled their work (after I'd taken time off from work) *Forgot to buy ALL the materials, and had to reschedule work *Had to push back first day of work because all workers called out sick *Told me sink install was included in estimate then said the plumbing wasn't part of that. (cost me $300 to hire a plumber at the last minute) *They didn't pay one of the contractors so he called me, drunk, left a voicemail demanding I pay him or he'd put a lien on my house. Then sent me several texts saying the same. *Would go dark for weeks at a time, then claim they had tried to contact me *Harassed me for payment on invoices already paid, or not yet received *Promised they'd do rework then demanded I pay for replacement material to fix their poor workmanship *Wanted to send the drunk contractor over to fix his work. (later back away from this demand) *When their subcontractors didn't get answers from the Project Manager I was forced to be the main point of contact and coordinate work. (on numerous occasions) *The boss for one of the subs went on vacation half way through the project and told me that he didn't trust his workers so the work would have to wait till he returned 3 weeks later. *The owner promised me things would improve a few times, they never did. And finally, I was recently told that many of Baila's customers were refusing to pay them. Makes sense given the experience I had. Why 2 stars? Well, they at least did something. They didn't take my money and run. If this was a rental house and I didn't have to live with it myself I suppose it would be ok. However, I could have hired some guys from the Home Depot parking lot and gotten the same (maybe better) result. In the end, I'm looking to hire another contractor to completely redo all their work. Don't make the same mistake as me. If the quality of the end result matters, do yourself a favor and find another contractor. It's also worth noting that I never, not once, asked for discount. I've only ever asked them for a quality installation and this levelheaded, partnership approach got me nowhere. At one point, they did promise me a $500 discount, but never gave it to me. Not shocked.

Our new Carpet was installed by this company at the most reasonable price. The workers started the job earlier than I expected. I also like the fact that they were able to follow my instructions and executed the result I wanted. Because of their kind and respectful attitude, they were able to gain my respect. In return, I will give my 5 stars review. Once again, thank you so much for your excellent job!

Truly a professional. We need to replace our old floor into a new one & wanted to get it done cost effectively, quickly and with beautiful end result. The guys who installed our floor was very professional, thorough and really did a fantastic job. In the end, the floor looked so amazing, we are very happy with their work and professionalism - getting amazing results in 5 days.
