I have now worked with Scott twice and I would never have anyone else touch my wood floors! He refinished fir floors in our old home and now our new one. They look amazing and stayed within our budget. His guys Oscar and David went above and beyond the scope of work. Scott Hickey made my remodel happen on time, and he has been one of the best people I have worked with, TWICE now!

Scott was recommended by Heritage Salvage in Petaluma and so I hired him to install a bamboo floor in our newly purchased house. Turned out he was so busy with more important clients and was barely here to monitor the work he subbed out to a fellow - who although very nice, with a careful eye for layout -- obviously didn't know how to finish off installation at the wall edges and narrow space in the hallway. There are nail heads poking up all over the floor (unfortunately I did the entire house) everywhere along the walls and all over - even in the middle of the hallway. It's only going to get worse with time, possibly causing the planks to split. I'm devastated as I don't have the money to get the floor redone. It is a complete mess. Also, the finishing details of installing the transitions and trim seemed like it was completely forgotten - there was a problem finding matching transitions, tile in bathroom and entryway was cracked and the trim was not finished off completely. DON'T hire Scott Hickey & Assoc and don't think Heritage Salvage will give you good advice!
