Overall the worst experience I have ever had at a Home Depot store, we are here from AZ to get my mother inlaws house ready to sale because she had recently passed away. We picked out a couple of ceiling fans approximately 30 outlets and 20 plus wall switches as well as all of the cover plates and 2 sconces. At this point everything was going well. We got to the front for checkout and the lady at the counter was outstanding. When we rang up the order it was small just over 550.00. My wife gave them our Home Depot credit card which by the way has a 35.00 balance and over a 8000.00 dollar limit. They asked for my drivers license which we gladly gave them, My info obviously matches my card and we assumed we were good. We were then told we needed to wait for further approval. Approximately 20 minutes had passed and they again asked for my ID and again it was given, we were asked why we were in CA, we were asked if we travel here often, then we were told that they were still waiting. At this point we had spent approximately 40 minutes to get approval on a 500 dollar purchase. We finally told the girl at the checkout never mind and we left. If this is what we can expect for customer service moving forward, moving forward I think I will take my business across the street to Lowe’s, not a big deal right? Except for the fact that my company spends approximately 10k a month at Home Depot with my Integration teams in the field across the country. Not counting the many people that I will be having this conversation with. Again not a big deal to Home Depot as they have forgotten what customer service is all about. Quite the shame!

This HD is always crowded and understaffed. When I finally found an employee to help me with blinds, she didn’t seem to know how to cut the blinds when given her the exact measurements for the window. She asked us to go home and measure the trim of the old blinds....what????? Ended up going to the HD on Campus. Less people and helpful employees with knowledge there.

They need to hire more people! There is no way I should be walking around for 10 min looking for an employee to help me, literally no one in the floor! The Home Depot in Ontario on Eucild is much better staffed and more helpful.
