We needed carpet for our new home and had a good idea of what we wanted. We first tried to work with another carpet company in Paso Robles, but had a very difficult time getting them to come out and measure for a quote. We visited another store but didn't get a good vibe from them. Then we went to Colony. Diana was very cheerful and helpful, answering questions and giving us samples. She came out to the house when we needed her to, carefully measured (not a square room in the house!) and gave us an estimated quote for our budget. When Diana and Jeff recalculated, they came up with a more efficient division and cut the quote down. When our crazy escrow closed, they got the carpet in a few days and had it installed in a time that really worked well for us. The installed was Jose and he was equally skilled, punctual and respectful. Jeff even gave me some carpet for my garage shop shelving! Colony Carpets was easy and pleasant to work with and the price was very reasonable and fit our budget. Selection, price, customer service: I would highly recommend Colony to anyone.

The WORST company ever, all the way around. There's not enough room here to describe the horrible experience we encountered with the owner, his installer and the office lady. I specifically called the owner to come look at my floor because I suspected a problem. He said it was fine without putting a level on it or doing anything to check the potential problem. The installer AND the owner NEVER checked the floor for level! The installer had a temper tantrum(for lack of a better word) and started ripping the floor up when I pointed out his poor workmanship where the subfloor was SHOWING THROUGH the NEW floor. I called and complained about the installer and his childish attitude and basically I was told IT DIDN'T happen AND she didn't believe what I was saying. END RESULT? The $6850 wood floor job had to be ripped out BY COLONY CARPETS themselves because of PURE LAZINESS AND CARELESSNESS. Best part? Colony Carpets ate the whole job! Better yet part?? The office lady called other flooring stores in the area to warn them about ME! That's called slander I believe? Thanks alot for wasting TONS of my time and money, as well as yours. These guys are bad news. Stay away.
