Employee of the Month
This is the face of poor customer and outrageous behavior. Sunday afternoon we stopped by this location to pick up a dishwasher for one of our properties. As we headed over to the appliance section I mentioned to an employee that we needed help in the appliance section. After waiting for at least 30 minutes I spotted an employee walking down the aisle some distance from us, so I had to raise my voice to get his attention. The response I got was astounding! He looked at me angrily, turned away and kept moving. A minute later I could hear someone requesting assistance in appliances over the public address system.
The next thing I did was walk over to the other side of the store and ask an employee in another department to assist me. While walking back to appliances I encountered the rude employee to identify him to report his behavior to management. When I asked him did he hear me? His response was contentious and combative, saying that I was yelling at him. I let him know there was no ill intent in my actions. There was a female standing where he was and offered to give me the manager’s name. When I thought that things would get better this woman followed me back to the appliance section accosting me without offering assistance.
Finally adding insult to injury a manager showed up without apology asking my wife and I how could he help us. This was the straw that broke the camel’s back. We decided it was time to leave the store.
