I had some water damage in my basement. Roman Floors came out, tore out the old (wet and smelly) carpet and replaced it. They also made a recommendation for a thicker padding, which really wasn't that much more expensive, but has made a big difference on the comfort of the basement floor. They also found where the leak was coming from, and then after I got that fixed, came back and repaired drywall that had been damaged. Service was great, and the installation went smoothly. I appreciate that they understood that it was a basement, and didn't want to spend a ton of money on basement carpet. (That's where the suggestion of the padding upgrade came from. Great idea!)

If I could give this company 0 stars, I would! They were contracted to us through another company. Original carpet install date was a Friday afternoon. Called that morning to reschedule for the next day, 10am. 11am, no show. Called office, said the contractors were running late and were on their way to pick up supplies, promised the work would be done by 2:30 because we had somewhere to be. We waited, 12:35, still no show. They just called us now to tell us that (even though we were the first customers for the day) they wouldn't be here til 3pm. After arguing for 10 minutes, telling them thanks, but no thanks, we are getting a refund of our deposit and moving on. Save yourself some time, don't use Roman Flooring!! UPDATE: Here we are, a month later, and still no refund. We have gone around and around in circle after circle with these people. They wanted us to pay the restocking fee for the carpet, and they would give us the other $300. If I had cancelled for no good reason, I would have been happy to pay the restocking fee. But in this case, the cancellation is their own fault. We’ve spoken to them multiple times with nothing to show for it. I just finally spoke with the OWNER of the company, he wanted to settle this ‘like adults’ in his words, he asked me to update my review with “they were happy to refund my $400!” I told him, fine, but I cannot in good faith ever recommend their company, just speaking the truth! Apparently he can’t handle the truth. This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life. He then told me that I was just calling to be abusive, which certainly is NOT the case. I myself work in Customer Service, and I know that this is terrible service. This company needs to know that they have a problem with their service, and understand that in this day in age, people cannot afford to lose $400 because of THEIR terrible service. Thanks for nothing Roman Flooring...

If I could give them 0 stars I would. I went into the store on Thursday and stressed that the main reason I was going through them was for NEXT DAY INSTALL. After I paid them half of the total, they confirmed someone would be at our house on Friday after 1:00pm. I called them around 1:45pm to confirm what time they would be onsite, the receptionist indicated they were running behind about 2-3 hours. I said that was ok and I called them again around 4:30 as I still had not heard back, she once again said the installer was on his way in about 45 minutes... 45 minutes still no call, so I call again. The installer finally shows up to my house WITH NO CARPET at 6:45pm when he went to the room he said " this is a larger job than I thought", he then proceeded to say he only brought the padding and can only get that completed. After discussing with the installer it needed to be done that night, he went back to the shop and grabbed carpet. at 9:15pm he left, without completing the stairs or closet. before he left he said "I'm not sure when or if I will be coming back in the morning to finish the job". On Saturday morning I went to the store first thing when they open at 9:30am, the receptionist called and texted the installer who did not respond I yet again stressed the importance of getting this job done by 11:30am and she said no problem. I did not receive another phone call until after 1:00pm and at this point I'm livid and said screw it and I wanted my money back. she said absolutely not and said to just call it even. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy and have no idea how they are still in business. DO NOT GO HERE. GO TO A REAL PROFESSIONAL. THIS BUSINESS IS A SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree, run. They will out right lie too you, and the installer tried to take the leftover material of the wood flooring. I refused and he was pissed, said I did not pay for it: then who did. One star is too good for Roman Floos & Remodeling 0 stars is correct.
