Did not know much about tile flooring. Ron was a great help in choosing our tile. Avalon has a nice selection to choose from.

We recently purchased the Canterbury series in Palomino from the Egg Harbor Township location. After just a few days, we noticed splintering. Just about everyday, we are pulling splinters out of our socks, including our toddler's. When I reached out to our sales representative, Kelly, she stated ".. As for all hand scraped hickory products, they can have some splintering. It is inherent of the species." I wish she would have told me this prior to purchasing. I had my toddler running around the store and she never thought to bring the splintering up for safety reasons. We have this floor throughout the entire house. We are very disappointed in the quality and that we weren't informed of this issue prior to purchasing.

First let me state that I work in customer service and it's something I take deep pride in. I walked in with my father to look at floors for his new restaurant. The entire time we were there, their were about 5 employees all sitting around not being productive. Not one single person greeted us or even offered to help us out or answer some of our questions or concerns. I would of understood if they were overwhelmly busy with customers flooding the store but there wasn't a single body in that establishment except for us. I would never do business with Avalon Flooring based on the experience alone. I'd much rather shop at Home Depot or lowes. Such a bad reputation to have for a specialty retail store. I know great service when I see it and this was by far one of the worse experiences I've ever encountered.
