What a difference a year makes. I purchased my hardwood floor from this store based on a reference from a family member who had purchased from them last year. The short story is, I did not have the same experience they had. I placed my order early June with the expected delivery date within 2 weeks. When 2 weeks went by and no contact from the store, my contractor called and the store told him it would be another month before I would see delivery putting it at mid-July. The store never called to update me on the status of the delivery, I had to initiate every call and every call came with excuses as to why I could not get my flooring: sales rep was out of the country, too many orders for the same floor and can’t keep up with production, etc. By this time my house was a full-blown construction zone. Baseboard heat was shut off and pipes disconnected. Old flooring removed and living on subflooring, furniture in disarray, my family sleeping in any room not being worked on. And still no flooring. My contractor did some research and found that there was tons of the flooring sitting in the distribution center which could have been delivered weeks earlier. I called the store on 8/24 and expressed my anger with the whole situation. Their response was a delivery date the following week but no explanation as to why it took so long and why they did not call. Unfortunately, it was too late for me because my contractor could not wait any longer and had move onto another job and could not be back until the spring since the heat had to be disconnected again. So I had to have the heating pipes put back, I will need to put furniture in storage, forget hosting any holidays at my house and my family will be sleeping all over the house for months. Plus all extra plumbing and storage costs I have incurred were due to the incompetence of this store. If there were a way to charge them back, I would in a heartbeat. When I finally did get my delivery, 6 cartons were damaged. I called the store, explained the issue and they said they would get ‘working on it’. 1-1/2 weeks later, a delivery truck shows up at my house. There was no call to schedule delivery and no forewarning that a delivery was coming. My daughter called me at work in a panic because some guys were bang on the front door, banging on the back door until she answered. To sum up, I will never do business with this store again, they have the poorest customer service I have ever encountered. Nor will I ever recommend this store to anyone; in fact, I would tell them to stay far, far away from this store.
