I went to Lowe's on front St. Binghamton and wanted to purchase a lawn sweeper. The salesman said they had plenty of the model I needed. I decided it wouldn't fit in my car. I sent my son back later that evening. The salesman said they had sold out. Just five hours later and he told me they would never sell out. I went back the next day and spoke with the front desk person. It turns out they don't even carry the sweepers I requested in the store. Also. The box the salesman showed me the day before was a lawn cart!!!! You need to hire sales people that don't lie and eat up your$$$$ doing nothing.....you could have lost s sale.. well more to story... I purchased lawn sweeper they were supposed to deliver and it was at the Binghamton Lowe's for ten days no call. I called the number on my resume and they informed me sweeper was delivered to the store. They delivered per my request that evening. Guess what it is damaged!!!! My next trip to the store!

This is the worst Lowes, period!! Poor to non existent customer service. The employees will walk right past you without offering to help. There always seems to be small groups of employees congregating and engaging in idle conversation. At times in the morning, employees are too wrapped up in moving stock to service a customer. The company culture at this store is very poisoned to say the least! It does not help to alert any level of management in regards to the poor service in this store, they do not care, and thus are part of the problem. I wonder if this is what the top management at Lowes corporate HQ envisions their stores to be? Note: An earlier review stated that Service at the Oneonta store is favorable, We have found this to be true. The staff there is extremely helpful.

I prefer this location over vestal. Front st. staff are more friendly and no matter what I aisle I go in, someone is always asking me if I need any help. I haven't had any bad experiences with Lowe's thus far and I will continue to shop here when needed.

Register staff is friendly and relatively fast, it has the same selection as any other Lowes, and is laid put pretty much to the Lowes standard floor plan. There always seems to be extra displays and random things cluttering the isles, sometimes it's difficult to get through to where you want to go, or to the items you need and sometimes you have to move stuff out of the way, especially in the lumber, building materials and trim isles. Overall it seems to be slightly less organized than other Lowes due to the 'clutter' in the isles. The 'Main Isle' is full of seasonal/clearance stuff and is usually a bottle neck. The shelves with the smaller items have a bunch of pricetags missing, mostly on the bottom shelves, and usually are not reorganized so make sure if you are getting small items (pipe fittings, electrical components, hardware, etc...) that you check to make sure what you got out of the box on the shelf is indeed what you are looking for. Sometimes the items are restocked with similar bit different parts that don't match the picture on the shelf.
