The owner of this business has to be mindful that a buyer does have the ability to go online and leave a review regarding their experience. I made the mistake of purposely going to a small locally owned business versus a "big box store". I wanted to support a locally owned business. I hate to see small shops go out of business, but I can now see why this has happened over the past 30-40 years. My mistake was not price checking Home Depot first, which I normally know enough to price check but this one slipped past me and BOY was it a mistake. I paid three times the price that I would have paid for Tarkett vinyl flooring, and was sold a bucket of glue for $50 that I was told I would need for the job. I did not end up opening, needing, or using the $50 bucket of glue, because it actually was not needed for the job after all. There are no signs in the shop or on the receipt saying that the shop does not take returns. I called about returning it, because it was unopened it could easily be resold to another customer that might use it. I was put on hold by a women, and when she came back she said "no returns." It seems as if they had made up this policy right then and there..... At a big box store, they take returns no questions asked, if you do not need an item that was purchased. I am stuck with a $50 bucket of flooring glue I will never need. I was interested in purchasing flooring for 6 other rooms in my home, I had even suggested that he take the glue back for a credit and I would be willing to keep my business with him for my additional flooring needs. Even though he charges much more than a big box store, I was willing to give him my business. BUT, I can not look past how I was treated, and how business was conducted. I suggest you drive right past this business when you are in Lockport.
