Jim and his team are absolutely incredible. I have the up most respect for this store. We purchased a pellet stove and they were helpful with getting the permitting, installing was fast and clean and prices will beat anyone around. They were hundreds less than the stove shops in Middletown. Also pretty sure they have every known bolt, screw or nut you would possibly need in store. Great store and Great people, not much more you can ask for.

Wow! This place has everything & anything you may need. If they don't have it, they will call one or all of their other 3 stores to see if they have what you need. On the rare occasion that they don't have what you need, the will see if the can order it for you from their warehouse. They really go out of their way to help you. Customer service & product knowledge you don't get in the big box stores.

Yesterday I purchased a roll of tape to use inside of my car. An employee of True Value helped me to find this specific type of tape, which was supposed to work in outside conditions, including heat. So, I bought it ($10) and used a few inches of the tape in my car, and it simply didn't work. I went back today and explained the situation. I brought the tape, my receipt, and the packaging which I had of course opened. The same employee that had helped me was there, and he said I could not return it because it was opened. I explained that there was no way I could have known if it worked without opening it. Now, I understand that they probably cannot resell this item, but I had payed 10 dollars for an item which did not work as advertised. I explained this, and the employee started to become agitated and rude with me. He (wrongly) stated that all companies never take back used items. I said that I've never heard of a store that doesn't do that. He continued arguing with me until I finally stated that I was disappointed with the customer service policy there, and that I would unfortunately not be coming back to shop there again. He then mumbled something to the cashier and walked off. Luckily, the cashier told me that I was in fact getting my 10 dollars back. However, it did cost me about 15 minutes of unnecessary arguing, and was overall a very unpleasant experience. I'm sure the other employees do not have this attitude, but I will certainly not shop here again, considering this experience.
