If we could give zero we would. Honestly, There are only two people there that have ever helped us and care about customer service, for them we would give five stars or more! If they aren't there the staff does not care to help at all. Today we went in for tongue and groove pine 8" we scanned the barcode on the phone app and it showed they had 72 in stock, there was only a few on the shelve so we went up to ask the cashier if we can be helped. She said the guys in lumber were helping another customer load their car, we waited with no hesitation because we saw them helping someone. Then the guys walk in and they are not forklifted certified so the cashier calls for a forklift driver over the intercom to possibly find it in overhead stock. The lumber guy said "see that's why I have been asking to take the forklift test" and walks/away. (You could have helped us locate the back stock) We thought cool we will get help, so we walked back and waited again with no hesitation because she said someone would be with us. No one came, they never do! We are not impatient and have nothing against Lowes. In fact, we love loves so much we drive to Albany for 90% of our purchases now. The time before went in for a threshold, online said they had a few in stock but of course there were none of the particular thresholds on the floor. I went to Dean who is very helpful and he called on the intercom system for someone to go back and help. No one came to help. I heard guys laughing and it was two associates at the millwork desk talking to each other. I was an aisle away. After I saw that I was so frustrated I drove to home depot and bought something comparable. Before moving to this area we never ever had a problem with our local store. We have have been purchasing at this store for a little over a year now. We have dealt with late shipments or no shipments at all, wrong items shipped. They have delayed our contractors and jammed up jobs last year. We dealt with lost orders when they were switching systems synergy or whatever. We had a concern with the amount of drywall we purchased vs the amount we have actually received. We were totally laid back about the concern but spoke to Keith about it and asked him to follow up on it. I guess he had one of the new managers in training follow up, that manager called us and insinuated that we are trying to get one over on them, "stealing drywall". The amount of our purchase history makes that phone conversation ridiculous. One time the staff was having a meeting at the paint desk as we walked in and they started clapping. They had the staff thank us and clap in jest. The manager leading the meeting said we are making our numbers because of you guys. We laughed, but it was salt in a sore subject. This store makes it so hard to actually purchase stuff they have in stock. Makes no sense, if they know us enough to know we are there buying then why not make sure we can actually purchase all that we came for. I have listened to other customers at the Pro Desk complain about lost and late orders or not being able to get help. The staff actually knows that this the way service is there and they seem to shrug it off as it being normal. Like its okay to drop the ball because that's the way the manager runs the store. We are writing this because this has happened so many times now and we are so frustrated. We have called the corporate to give them a heads up and also address an issue. The corporate office apologized and said that Keith the Store Manager would call us. Never happened. Something has to change we can't keep driving an hour to another Lowes Store. This has always been the company we do business with. I want to stress that before moving and this becoming our local store we never had this problem. We still love shopping at Lowes just not this location. I hope someone that can do something about this sees this and makes the changes necessary. Sincerely, Frustrated Customer

I stopped into Lowe's to purchase a ride on mower and was helped by Travis and checked out by Kim at customer service. I ran into a little issue with my Lowe's card and it was a bit of a process to put the sale through. It is apparent that the Oneonta Lowe's management trains their staff to pay close attention to detail when it comes to delivering outstanding customer service. These young men and ladies performed with extreme professionalism, while we worked to solve this issue for more than 30 minutes. I alerted the Management of how well I was treated and he was very in tune with his staff and they all seemed to work very well as a team. Super happy with my purchase and how I was treated. I do not usually write reviews but credit was due on this one to the management and staff that helped me that day. I will also say on the few other occasions I have been to that location I was treated no different by other employees. very friendly and professional staff. I can not say the same for other big home improvement stores in the area.
