Smitty's Floors

I had Smitty's put in a new flooring in my kitchen and at the time they installed it they had to put a new sub floor over top of the floor that was there. There installation people nailed the floor down on to the original floor. Well now the floor squeaks like crazy because they didn't nail it down right to the floor joists. I called 3 separate contractors and they came to my house and check out the floor and look from the basement also and all 3 stated that the floor should have been glued down then nailed so that it wouldn't have worked loose and caused this problem. They said it cannot be fixed without pulling up the floor and starting over. They advised me to call Smitty's and let them know the problem. I called Smitty on February 1 and told him the problem I have and that other contractors looked at it and said it should have been glued before nailed as usual he had a attitude and didn't agree cuz he thinks he knows more than everyone else and stated to me Take me to court I don't care. Well buddy guess what. This guy is because it is your responsibility to repair it. I will see you soon.

Smitty and his staff are outstanding. Very professional, friendly, helpful, courteous. The man who installed the carpet was also equally pleasant and friendly. Did a really great job installing the carpet and meticulously cleaned up afterwards. I had never seen anyone do that from anywhere else before. I was so impressed from start to finish. These guys come very highly recommended from me. Quality and prices are hard to beat. We are customers for life.

I saved my money to make some home improvements. I had 2 of Smittys employees come to my home. They brought the wrong trim and tried to convince me to keep it. They also brought a different but similar tile for the tub surround. They did a tub surround...bathroom floor...a fireplace ceramic tile hearth and a laminate entranceway all on the same day. Before they left i said the bathroom tile was uneven....it was slipping down because they accidentally turned on the shower and it sprayed the grout everywhere in my bathroom. On the new flooring ..sink...walls...my drapes...and didnt clean it up well. Dennis said they would be back. But they didnt. I tried to call...left messages and no return calls came. I saw Dennis several times and he continued to say he was busy and put me off. My bathroom never got corrected. The tile surround has 3 places cracked. And it uneven. My hearth cracked on one side 2 days agyer in dried. And the laminate separated from the floor... Peeled up and split within 7 months. I came home one day andvas i pushed the door open....the flooring had lifted and the door ripped it....i called several times. No help at all. . I dont recommend Dennis or Bob for sure. And the fact that no own called or fixed the problem after i paid cash is just bad business. 0 stars from me. They should be ashamed.

The service I got was awesome. The prices were 1/4 of all the other 5 places I went to. Should of started there. There were so many options on remnants and his installion prices are awesome. Had nothing but a great experience.

First, according to the store hours on the web page is 9am.( It says store hours) My husband and I arrived at 9:30 am, parked went to the door and it said 10am, waited until 10:02 went back to the door, still not open.. As we are standing there a worker (female) came and knocked on the window to get into work. I stated according to the web page it said 9 am, I also stated we drove about 45 minutes to get here, she stated that we (Smitty's) have never opened at 9 swiped her hand toward the store hours on the door. ( At this point we almost didn't enter, and please don't insult my intelligence, I think we can read times on a door) also she should have been apologizing trying to smooth things over. As a first impression and the first person to meet upon entering a place of business should be a pleasant expierence. This lady's attitude was anything but pleasant. She opened the door and walked in allowing the door to part-way close, (instead of letting us go first and possibly holding the door open for us). We followed her inside said she would help as soon as she put her stuff down. Never saw her again. We had a nice man to help-us out, his name was Bernie, he really tried but was unable to find swatches we needed, unable to give us cost per area, determine where seam would be, we had to find them ourselves, he really did try. He took our picks to get bigger swatches mailed to us, and they did come in the mail. We never spoke with a real sales person and we were the first person thru the door. I was not impressed with the service, and after informing both people we came in contact with about the time on the the web page, it still says, store hours open 9 am, and just I case you want to see who was working that day, it was 8/8/2016 promptly at 10:02am.
