3-25-2017. Saw a nursery employee poor mouth a customer behind his back to a fellow employee. A) It reflects poorly on Lowe's Hardware and B) If you only knew how hard the customer works for the betterment of others' lives, including mission work....AND the far reaching effects of negative word-of-mouth. BTW, pine straw full of sticks. 4-17-2018: I am adding a fourth star. Sybil in the nursery area is a conscientious and very professional leader. From good customer service to cashier and training other employees. She is irreplaceable. 5-29-2018: Associate Tia went the ‘extra mile ‘ helping me choose and retrieve the microwave I opted for. Very conscientious. Everett worked the lift and was very smart and safety conscious. Added a fifth star for service.

It's pretty much your only option in the area. Thankfully they have about everything you need.

I was given a time that our refrigerator delivery would take place. I was finally contacted way after the scheduled time with the people letting me know they were running late and they could deliver the next day. I declined this as I had taken off work specifically for this delivery. The men told me they could not hook up the ice maker due to the water line not reaching so I would have to have a plumber come out. My dad lightly pulled on the pipe that connected the water to the ice maker and it came right out, which means that they didn’t touch it at all. We purchased some storm doors and unfortunately did not get the right size. We took the door back to the store and I waited at customer service while my fiancé went and got the correct size. The lady at customer service spoke to him like he was an idiot in front of other customers. She repeatedly asked if it was the same door The price was exactly the same. As he was trying to explain this the lady cut him off and said “so it isn’t the same door if the size is different right?”.Instead of a simple transaction she made us wait to return and refund our money only to turn around and ring up the new door and take the money back. We played phone tag with the person that was helping us with our door. After not being able to reach anyone for a couple of days we went to the store. The employee was not working and the other employees told us they didn’t understand his notes so we needed to come back Everything seemed to be going fine with our fence then one whole board fell. The board had no nails/screw/etc so it was basically just leaning on the fence and not connected. I am pretty sure I can find the picture we took of this. My dad fixed. Then one morning I looked outside and the gate was completely open and the dogs were out.Luckily we found them. The locking mechanism was not put on right. Dad fixed We received a call stating the labor and materials for windows and doors were 10% off. Then we were told it was not the labor. Wrong door was ordered and picture window not ordered. When we contacted Lowes we were told that they would be covering the expense of this window. We were told the contractor didn’t measure the window which was a lie bc I was home. Nothing had been reimbursed so we once again contacted Lowes. We were told that we weren’t charged for it so they were just ordering it.We paid for 9 windows. On the receipt it shows 8 standard and 1 oversize they did explain it was labor only. It also has our octagon window being wrapped which we didn't request or have done.Contract shows 9 windows for price only $10 more than what we were charged. My fiance left messages with times he would be available and they call back during times he said he was not available just to say they called. The manager did email me as well telling me to contact the store and ask for him or the manager on duty so I said fine and called only to be placed on hold for several minutes before hanging up. I emailed him back to let him know this and well....I guess he had no excuses for the poor service so I haven’t heard from him since. The project coordinator for exteriors called and left several messages which again I asked for email. She eventually did and got the receipt and explained it which was fine however once again our CONTRACT said 9 windows and it is not our fault they made an error. We did have like $200 taken off with no explanation so I’m sure this is just for the extra charge on services we didn’t request. At this point I believe that a substantial amount should be adjusted for all of this poor service and we let the project coordinator know this. Well they basically said they reimbursed us the $200 and I was literally told (in an email so this is documented) that I was “lucky to have a loving dad that can fix the issues and mistakes that have surfaced in our encounter with Lowe’s.” So basically, this tells me that if you have something done by them that you should make sure you have someone to fix their mistakes.

Placed an order online for items listed as in stock. Paid online. An hour later I received a call that the items were not in stock. I spoke with someone named Ron who said he would have them by the next day. The day after the next day no one in the store knew anything about it. Do not shop at Greenville Lowe's!
