I wanted to send a special thank you to Don in the lumber department. I am a teacher and I needed something cut. Don was kind, patient and super helpful. Often times employees are not recognized for great customer service, but he deserves employee of the month. My students and I truly thank you.

I've always enjoyed going to Home Depot because I could usually always find whatever it was I was needing at the time. Plus that fresh scent of wood you get to breathe in while walking around is heavenly to me. Lol. But lately it seems that more and more items are getting harder to find, and some of the employees are starting to sound pretty rude when asked where certain items might be found. First, I can understand having items that sell out and need to be reordered. But maybe when reordering some of the more popular/advertised items, it might be a good idea to order a little more than what's immediately needed, keeping these items in stock in a back room. And if the popular/advertised items ARE stocked in back, wouldn't it be a good idea to have an employee bring them out and replenish the peg boards or shelves where these items are supposed to be? It gets a bit old looking at empty areas. Secondly, if an employee does not know where an item can be found, it would be more helpful if he/she said "I don't know where it is or even if we carry it but I can find out for you" instead of telling us "No, we don't carry that!" The "No, we don't carry that!" was regarding the location of regular glass for a window...which Home Depot DOES carry. Maybe Home Depot could print out some maps showing what each aisle and display carries and then give a map to every employee there. Or Home Depot could print out those maps for the CUSTOMER to take upon entering the store...allowing us to bypass rude or uninformed or lazy employees. Or Home Depot could do what some fast food places have done: and hire less employees, simply installing information-kiosks.

Restrooms should be more accessible, maybe at the front of the store near customer service. Some of the floor staff were easy to find and very helpful.

Typically I like Lowe's better, only because I never find any help in Home Depot or if I do, the employees are condesending. I only go there if I know exactly what I need and where to find it. This was not the case with this last visit.

My Mom ordered online for in-store pick-up. I was the pick up person. After the 2 hours we are supposed to allow, (It was a very small order, whoever could have got it in like 5 mins) I went to pick up, order was not ready, the customer service/cashier lady called around the store asking them to get the order ready (while I am standing there) everyone she called said no, so then she went to go get the order herself. This was the first time I have ever been to a Home Depot.
