Never ever ever hire them to remodel your kitchen or do anything that involves installation in your home. The incompetence here will make you pull your hair out. You would be better off just moving to another home. My parents hired them to remodel their kitchen over the summer and the project was supposed to be finished around Thanksgiving; it is early February and the kitchen is still not ready. We just recently had the oven and stove installed. Imagine having to cook all of your meals in the microwave and on the grill in the freezing cold...for 3 months. Imagine washing your dishes in the bathtub for months. Imagine waiting at home all day for a refrigerator that was delivered to the wrong address... 3 or 4 times. I wish that I could say that all these problems were the product of incompetence but I have reason to believe that there was some sinister foul play involved. Lowe’s contracted with this HORRIBLE company called Home Solutions Inc. I just call them Home Problems now. After our contract was completed they wanted extra money for the demolition of the kitchen. After the demolition they arbitrarily decided that certain other things cost extra and refused to send workers until we paid up. They essentially created a hostage situation with our kitchen. They can’t even install a microwave correctly. Their electrician was supposed to install a new electrical box for the microwave but decided to cut into the old box (a code violation) in order to create a new outlet instead of installing a breakout box. That is only the tip of the iceberg as far as the problems they’ve created for us. I hope they get what they deserve for the flagrant breaches of contract they have committed. Lowe’s needs to figure things out and use another contractor as well as step up their their communication which has been below poor. Do not fall for this scam. I will fully boycott this location and Lowe’s as a whole until further notice.

Never have I been made to feel as humiliated as I did at Lowe's off of Virginia Beach Blvd.. A mother of two, trying to return a door that was the wrong size. I parked in the “pick-up” parking spot in front of the customer service entrance so I could run in, ask for a man to help with the door, so I could then go park and bring the kids in to shop around after my return. Obviously that didn’t happen – because I am here – writing this review. I requested help to get the pre-hung door out of my car, and the guy they radioed threw back his head and rolled his eyes – right in front of me. You’re at work, why is ‘working’ a problem? The initial customer service employee behind the counter tried to be helpful and then another employee approached me and questioned whether the product was even from Lowe’s, accused me of neglecting my children (because I ran in to look for someone to help, and got the eye-rolling employee), and then denied me of returning the door despite my receipt. The door was purchased at another Lowe’s on the Eastern Shore, and according to Lowe’s return policy you can return your items at any location, it just needs an override by a manager to enter the product into the system (if they don’t normally carry it). The helpful lady behind the counter was actually in the process of doing so when the situation became bizarre by this other employee who interjected and went behind the customer service counter. She took over and in summary said, no sorry we don’t have this in our system, and you can’t return it. I’ll never forget the look on a few of the customer’s faces, shocked by the treatment they just saw me receive. I was mortified, embarrassed, and so upset. Why was this lady out to get me? What did I do wrong? I couldn’t believe what just happened. I called my husband, crying after and later called the store to complain and had a returned voicemail from the manager justifying the treatment I received. I. can't. believe. it. My husband was able to return the door at another Lowe’s off Military Highway that evening, no problem at all. We will take our farm business somewhere else from here on out.

Been here twice now and totally disappointed each time. First was in the paint Dept where I waited 15 minutes to be knowledged. paint match during this I was left to wait while customers that arrived after me we're helped first...I was a different demographic and sadly seemed to be the issue. The second time.was to purchase a lawn mower again had to wait while I was ignored when I finally got help it was beyond hunted someone down. While she was helpful they lacked the ability or help to pull the product that was not restocked the night before and we're still up on top of the storage racks. After 25 min I gave up and left I will go pay full price somewhere else that actually wants my business.....this is by far the worst Lowe's I've been to Everytime I walk into here the vibe from the employees is similar to the cast of the walking dead.

Everyone here is rude as hell. I called four times asking to check if something was in stock and was told they were to busy or that no one was there and got hung up every time. Get better staff.

Of the items I intended to purchase, (a washer/dryer set, a dishwasher, a mini-fridge, a garbage disposal, and a vertical blind -- almost $2000 worth of merchandise) only two were in stock. No washer/dryer sets available -- period. Only, "We have the washer, but the dryer will take a week -- or vice-versa." Of course, finding anyone who works there is a minor miracle in itself. The associate finally called another store to check stock -- they said they had some of the items, but when we got there, we couldn't find anyone to wait on us. They were all "on lunch" -- an hour before closing?! Okay. Yeah -- next time I'll go ANYWHERE ELSE BUT HERE.
