Lowe's Home Improvement

Love their products but beware of the delivery service. My washing machine crashed while my husband was out of town. I needed help getting new ones in the house so I chose to have a new set delivered. I have 4 kids, so waiting long for delivery was not an option, and I was assured that next day delivery would be no problem. The gentleman who was helping me in the store was friendly and knowledgeable. He told me to expect a phone call first thing in the morning to schedule delivery. He also told me I would received a phone call 30 minutes prior to delivery. Great! I work near my house and that would be enough time to run home to meet them. By 10:30 the next morning I had not heard from them. I called and was told the delivery window was 2-5 pm but to call back around 3 to get a more concrete time. I waited until 4, called, and was told that they would check with the driver. They called back and told me it would be delivered before 5. Around 5 they show up. The delivery guy kindly informs me that he is off the clock and they just called him because they forgot about me. He is clearly in a hurry to leave and the Lowe's associate looks less than pleased to be there. They begin removing my old unit and bringing the new ones in. I am told, because I didn't purchase a new electrical cord for my dryer, he couldn't install the existing cord (in spite of it only being a year old). I said fine, I could handle that much. He proceeds to wheel in the new ones and hand me the paper to sign. No hooking up of the washer hoses, no help with the dryer vent, etc., even though I told him my husband was gone and I had no help. It wasn't difficult work, but the washer and dryer were in such a placement that I had to pull them out of a very small corner and climb behind to accomplish all the water and electric hook ups. Again, not hard work, I was just irritated that I spent $1700 on a new washer and dryer which I was told came with delivery and hookup, only to wind up doing it myself and being made to feel like I was holding the delivery folks up when they made me wait all day and then forgot about me.

Went in for connection for bottom of toilet that had come loose. Helper in plumbing dept. knew just what I needed. Got in, out, and fixed bathroom quickly.

We were blessed twice on our visit to Lowe's today! First really fast check out w/ pre-checkout and then a very nice man payed it forward to us by paying 80.00 of our bill!!! The Lord has blessed us DOUBLE!!!!!!!!!!! THANK YOU JESUS!

Nice visit but not enough choices of ORB shower heads with on off control handle. All they have includes tub faucet which I don't need.

Friendly employees and fast service. I usually get great assistance here if I can't find what I need or it's not where I last remembered it.
