We bought carpet from Cindy and she was very accommodating and professional. Worked with us to find the best carpet for what we were wanting. She was very easy and enjoyable to work with. The 2 men that came to do the installation were great themselves. You could tell they have been doing this for years and knew what they were doing. They were also enjoyable to work with. I would highly recommend Grigsby’s for all of your flooring needs (we have bought from them several times over the years and would not buy from anyone else). I would also recommend working with Cindy as well.

I ordered a carpet that was highly recommended by the salesman, Randy Mount. Randy neglected to tell me that the manufacturer states that this carpet fiber is likely to mat down quickly. The carpet that was delivered had a weird angled pattern and did not look like the sample or the photo in the store. I stopped the installation and called Randy. Randy said to complete the installation and that the claims manager would look at it the following week. The carpet looked so crooked and ugly that the claims manager said that it was defective and filed a claim with the manufacturer. I told him that I did not think that the carpet was defective and that it looked to me like a bad design that gave the illusion of being crooked. My complaint was that my carpet did not look like the sample. Grigsby’s should have taken financial responsibility themselves by either cancelling my order or allowing me to select different carpet from the thousands of samples in their store. However, Grigsby’s erroneously filed a claim with the manufacturer for defective carpet. The manufacturer agreed with me that the carpet was not defective. Grigsby’s worked hard to convince the manufacturer to provide replacement carpet. This was to the benefit of Grigsby’s because the manufacturer would provide the replacement, and Grigsby’s would not have to pay for it. It was not in the customer’s best interests because it limited my selection to 44 choices from the same manufacturer, all of which were in a fiber that the manufacturer said was likely to mat down quickly. Grigsby’s sent me a bill for the carpet that they said was defective, and that they had decided to install in my home. When I did not pay, Grigsby’s sent me a letter demanding that I pay their invoice, or they would take further actions. Grigsby’s manager, Penny, gave me no option other than to pay their invoice and select different carpet from the same manufacturer. Penny would not allow me to cancel my order or to pay more to purchase a better quality carpet from a different manufacturer. I called and left a message for the store owner, Dub Stover, but neither he nor anyone else returned my call. My expectation when I went to Grigsby’s was that I would receive excellent sales assistance, excellent service, and that I would purchase the carpet of my choice. I did not get any of that. I reluctantly selected replacement carpet that I did not want rather than pursue this matter legally.

Working with Sam Roberts is a great experience. We had a tight deadline for measuring, ordering & installation-but Sam made it happen-even sooner than expected! He was helpful in selecting the best carpet & pad for the areas and, his recommendation changed our plan & saved us money (and cost him commission). It’s integrity seldom seen in a salesperson these days, and very much appreciated!

Bad customer service. I came in to look at carpet, specifically concerned with smell and off-gassing because I had my 6 month old baby and didn’t want him to get respiratory problems bc carpet fumes. The salesman said that the carpet is hypoallergenic, and wouldn’t smell.. that was a lie. When it was found to smell (the salesman came over and even admitted it smelled), I received no money back and had to pay to get it removed. I would never do business with this company again.

Great buying experience. Ron is a great no pressure salesman. Installation only took about 2 hours. Our carpet is high quality and better than what anyone else carried. We were willing to spend extra on something that is used everyday and it was so soft.
