Called the store to get a piece of matting to go under a rug we had already purchased. The first guy I spoke to said that I’d have to give him a day to cut it, and that it’d be ready tomorrow, but I should call first. I waited at least 2-3 days from this first call and went to the store and they said they didn’t have it ready, because there is only one guy that cuts it and he wouldn’t be in for another few days. Since I was already there I thought I could at least pay for it now. As I was filling out the paperwork, I realized the time (I was late for an appointment) and asked if I could pay for it later and he said “sure, no problem.” Two days pass, and I call them and ask if I could pick up the mat. The guy says that they don’t cut it until I pay for it. Wha?? Had I known I had to pay for it before it was cut, surely I would have done that the initial call I made, but they never mentioned this part at all. Then I called Tim’s Carpet, and they got it done for me in two business days, and it was less expensive. Won’t waste my time at Carpet One ever.

Installer Fail, Poor Company Follow Up: Our process with Carpet One started smoothly. We worked with Kent on selecting new carpet for a rental property. He was professional and responsive. When I called to confirm the installation, apparently Kent no longer worked there. The installers ended up leaving a door off a hinge and the hinge on the floor and they did not bother telling us (or Carpet One) that there was an issue so I was told everything went well when they called to collect the final payment. Instead, our tenants had to tell us about the problem and I had to go to the store personally and follow up four times by phone. Now it's eight days after the installation and the installers are saying that there was a problem with the hinge so they won't rehang the door. Time will tell how this issue resolves, but at this point the communications with Carpet One since the installation have been terrible. Based on this experience, I wouldn't recommend this company.

Really disorganized. Scheduling is a nightmare. Prices are comparable so go where the front office is organized. Not this place.
