They were excellent. Very knowledgeable, very willing to help, I was able to set out as many samples on the floor to compare them as I wanted to and nobody gave a thought to me making a mess like that. They just wanted me to figure out what it was that I really wanted and they took the time to do that and to explain the different products and their different installation techniques and some tips because we"ll be installing ourselves. the sample that I wanted was checked out. They called me when it came back in so I could come and get it. I thought that was amazing. And they probably don't want this to get out but I got there 2 minutes after they closed and they still helped me. I was a flooring installer for 4 years and so I know what I'm talking about when I evaluate a flooring company. These guys are excellent.

Went to this company to save a few dollars...Just say No. The WORST ever. The laminate floor product had at over a dozen defective slates. Many had chips or had a watermark on them so that they could not be used. The product was LATE and arrived in 3 different orders. The last part of the order is taking over 1 month to receive while the other parts of the product have already arrived and are sitting in a pile inside my home. No work can be completed as the final parts are MISSING. I was told the product parts needed have NOT even been put in production after 3 weeks of waiting. My home is torn apart, contractor has another job, and I am left hanging with my house in disarray. The stairs can not be completed, and there are large gaps unfilled as the transition pieces did not arrive. This is DANGEROUS and we could trip on my incomplete flooring if not careful. The response from Mohawk industry, maker of the Laminate flooring is: "sorry, someone dropped the ball". HORRIBLE SERVICE by Direct Flooring and no compensation due to lack of professionalism. This is a billion Dollar plus company and they can not even compensate me or supply a product in a timely manner. The Owner, Skip D. Marler, Years in Business: 22 Business Started: 5/21/1996 Business Started Locally: 5/21/1996 Type of Entity: Limited Liability Company (LLC) He says he is Unable to assist me and is sorry, but it is out of his hands. He says he is not responsible and never promised a product in a timely manner. The "assist manager" Lance, in Bend, Oregon stated that Direct Flooring would hire me another contractor and pay for the service. I have yet to see him make good on this offer. I now have to hire another contractor at an additional fee.

Lance was very informative and knowledgeable. We took two laminate samples home and will decide on which to order.

Although everyone in the store was great, their installer is a total rookie. He installed a transition piece and the workmanship was horrible. He either did not know how to fit it into existing molding, or didn't have the tools to do so. We demanded that it be redone. When he returned I had to remove the molding so he could just butt up against the wall, and now I have to have the finish carpenter come back and fit the moulding to his work. He just made it someone else's problem.
