I recently purchased a house and set out to redo the flooring and dreamed of installing wide plank wood floors to bring a cohesive effect throughout the house. I hired John to refinish around 1000 square feet of historic pine wood in my Bucks County stone house. I also had him remove old tile and bamboo engineered flooring and install 800 square feet of new wide plank pine wood in my house to make my entire house all wide plank wood floors. John is excellent at communication and is completely honest and extremely detailed about every aspect of his work. John took on the job even though I needed it done within a certain timeline and was truly fair with his pricing. He was able to do the work and finish the job within the timeline that I presented. I’m thrilled with the results. He brought life to old floors from the early 1800s that badly needed it. He also gave me the wide plank flooring on the newer side that totally transformed the look of my house.

John gave a quick and reasonable quote to refinish my 30 year old maple floors, and was even able to fit me in a cancellation opening in his schedule. We had some pet strains and spots were the finish had worn away, but he got them looking brand new! He worked with me to match the finish of existing maple stairs, put up plastic to help control dust & odor, and checked in to make sure I was satisfied with the progress. We even realized he had previously installed my hardwood stairs and hallway 11 years ago when he was part of J&J Flooring, which have held up great after over a decade! ('after' photos are while floor was still drying; the variation in wood tones has mellowed as it dried)

We had a great experience working with John. We are very pleased with the quality of his workmanship. Most importantly for us was that we needed to have our 15 year old, partially water damaged floors refinished during a specific week this summer. John was very flexible and easy to work with and was able to meet our need. Our job took more effort than originally anticipated, but John was able to complete on time and in budget. We would highly recommend John for your flooring project.

We could not have been happier with the service John provided! We had our staircase redone and we needed someone to apply polyurethane immediately so we could walk on them. John responded the same day! We set up an appointment for a few days later. John came prepared and on time. He worked well with the painters and wallpaper hangers we had in the house at the same time. John filled all the holes left by the protective plywood, sanded the banister the stairs and applied two coats of polyurethane. He even came on Saturday so we could stay on our timeline before Christmas! Great work! Absolutely will call him again to refinish existing hardwood floors.

John patched, sanded and refinished our wide plank old knotty pine floors and they came out beautifully! He is very responsive and willing to work with you on timeline. We had to push our appointment back a few times due to other work being done at our house and he was able to fit us in exactly when we needed. His prices are fair and I trusted him completely. In addition, he used an eco friendly finish that had no odor. Safe for us and our asthmatic cats :) I’ve attached a few pictures to show before, during, and after. Thank you John!
