Lowe's Home Improvement

6 weeks ago we stopped in to purchase a storm door. The one we chose was in stock but we were told some one had to come out to measure our door before it could be installed. Several days later (October 2) a gentleman showed up and told us the door was a standard size and advised us to allow a few days for him to submit the information before we returned to the store to pay for the storm door. He noted that installation could not be scheduled for another 7 or 8 weeks! Nearly 2 weeks later we returned to the store to pay for the door and actually schedule installation only to find that the measurements were never called in. In addition, the clerk tried calling the installer but the phone rang and went to voicemail stating a message could not be left because the mailbox was full. The clerk apologized and immediately set us up with another installer ---- who had to come to the house to measure the door before we could purchase it! The second installer called that same day to say he would be there the next day (Thursday) to measure. True to his word he arrived and confirmed the door measurements. He said he would install the door the following Tuesday (October 23). We returned to the store yet again on Sunday morning to pay for the door....and again the measurements were not submitted! The clerk called the second installer to ask why the measurements were not submitted. He confirmed them verbally but was told the purchase could not be processed without his actually submitting the information electronically. He said he would not be able to to do that until he returned home around noon. The clerk apologized and said she would call us as soon as the measurements were available so that we could make payment over the phone. Again we left empty handed and unsatisfied. It was after 4 pm Sunday when the installer called to apologize for our inconvenience and confirm he would be here Tuesday to install the door. A few minutes later the store called to ask for payment....At this point we are not very confident that the door will actually be installed on time or that it will be done properly. Needless to say we are NOT AT ALL SATISFIED!

Staff is very helpful, and you can find a lot here that you might not think of! I got an HDMI cord here for $20 less than an best buy. Their prices are very good!

I made a return to the desk which was easy and the customer service was good, but when trying to approach two clerks sitting at desks to ask a simple question, in the lumber/ wood doors Dept was not a pleasant experience. One man was working with a customer, but the other woman was simply making calls and wouldn't even acknowledge me even when on hold to see if she could help, make eye contact or direct me to an isle. After 7 minutes I gave up.

Just purchased a washer that was on sale. The service was great and very quick. They even applied my military discount to the sale price, unlike Home Depot! Lowes customer for life.

My latest trip I was very pleased with the service, which anymore is unexpected. I backed up near the contractor door, I walked in to see a cart directly in front of the drywall, turned around to see a man named Jose (Lowe's associate) ready to help me load 20 sheets. Walked right over to the register, checked out and Jose followed me right out and helped me load, or I should say I helped him load... In and out with 20 sheets of drywall in under 7 minutes. Time is money and this trip was exceptional. I wish every trip went this well...
