LIE after LIE after LIE. Please don’t make the same mistake my family and I have made! After suffering the lose of many objects as well as our house during a storm Projans was recommended by our insurance company. The plans were drawn up, submitted and accepted by the township by Projans without our approval or knowledge of any plans. We weren’t asked how we would like our home to look or our needs and wants of our rebuild. When we were finally showed the plans, we all hated them. There was absolutely no thought in the way it was design. No peak to the roof, dormers or windows on the wall that over looked our beautiful view of the Delaware river we have. It was three straight lines. So we requested a meeting with our project manager (Eric) from Projans. Eric brought along Projans engineer and the contractor (who showed up 30+mins late) after trying very hard to change the plans we were basically told it’s the way it had to be because there was no other way. They all truly didn’t want to change anything no matter what we said, they were just getting annoyed and aggravated to the point of lying to us saying it would take another 4 weeks to change anything and The engineer backed them up and made sure to say ‘it’s really the only way it could be built”. (lie 2) the first one was about the building permit, I left that part out). unfortunately, the building began. the contractor shows up the first week mostly on time you know (before noon) 2 to 3 days of the week. We requested a bathroom on the second floor the project manager (Projans) said we would need to have another plan drawn up and the plans would have to be approved (LIE 3) it didn’t have to be approved and plans didn’t have to be submitted because we already have a building permit said the man who does the inspection himself only reason I found out is while the inspector was here I asked him since the contractor or our “project manager” from Projans (Eric) did not show up for the inspection I had to walk him through the house and show the inspector what I thought the contractors had worked on and was asked questions like what are they doing next and what they attached certain boards to. Before the inspector left I was told that basically there were many things wrong and that they have to rebuild what had already been built due to the many mistakes one of the many contractors have made, the issue was Projans kept switching the companies they sub-contract with, so many guys were in and out although I do believe at this point in the rebuild we finally have one company working on the house when they feel like showing up. we even had them show up here at 6 or 7pm and work for an hour last week (haven’t seen them since) Isn’t the project manager supposed to be managing? In closing, Its been slow and painful for us every step of the way has been a fight and one of the biggest pains we have EVER had in life! Its bad enough to lose so much of our past, its not right to fight so damn hard for a call back from our project manager at projans. Please feel free to email or message me for picture and plans of our house. I will keep this updated as the rebuild continues but if you choose to use Projans I wish you the best of luck and I hope it dose not turn out to be as difficult for you!
