Was professional and helpful.

I ordered a couple rooms worth of solid finished Hickory here today. Dave and the lady at the front desk were great to work with. They were so straightforward and helpful compared to the commercial stores in town. Prices are reasonable. The selection of hardwoods here beats YBC, Lezzer, Lumber Liquidators, and American Carpet World and the price beats all but the cheapest stuff at LL. Also the fact that they harvest, mill, and finish the wood all locally and it seems a very good quality product made my decision a no-brainer. Cannot wait to see and get the product installed.

I have mixed feelings about Peachey Wood Products. Although the floor I finally received is very nice I wouldn't use them again or recommend them to anyone. Their customer service and communication within their company is lacking and I believe that is why I had a bad experience with them. My wife and I were in the market for hardwood floors for our new custom home being built. We really liked a sample of flooring we found at one of our builders supply companies but it was very expensive and over what our builder budgeted. We then decided to take that sample to a few custom flooring companies (Peachey Wood Products being one of them) to get prices on having that sample replicated. Long story short we decided to go with Peachey Wood Products because they would be able to make the same floor cheaper than our builders supplier and faster then the other custom floor company. Price-wise was about the same as the other custom floor company but our builder was pressuring us to get our floor as fast as possible so the building process wasn't slowed down, so we went with Peachey. Peachey made us samples that we approved and told them to go ahead and make the floor. They floor we received was nothing like what we approved. I spoke with Dave in sales and he asked that I send a picture so they could take a look at it and he would talk to boss Don. Initially they concluded that there was nothing wrong with the floor I received, it was just variation in the wood, and their custom stain matching is so precise it was impossible it was wrong. I then told them that I opened up multiple bundles and there was no variation, it all looked the same, and I couldn't find any pieces that resembled the samples I approved. After going back and forth Peachey finally agreed to pick up the floor to take a look at it. After inspecting the floor Peachey finally agreed that the color was off and they would remake it. I spoke with Dave and told him that we really needed this floor fast because this was putting us behind schedule. He said that our order would hold priority and they would get it to us as quickly as possible. When I was speaking with Dave I asked Dave that if we didn't have the floor that was being remade hand-scraped like the original one would we be able to get the floor sooner. He said yes, that would save a lot of time. I told him to not hand-scrape the second floor because we needed the floor ASAP. After the floor was remade and finished we were asked if our builder could have his workers unload the floor because they didn't have anyone to unload it due to people taking time off for hunting season and if not we would have to wait until the following week. My builder did not have anyone available because he actually sent them to other jobs due to our flooring issue. I didn't want to wait the extra week because we were already behind schedule and the floor had to acclimate in the home before install, so I had Peachey deliver the floor anyway and the builder himself and I unloaded the floor. The second floor I received is beautiful, but Peachey refuses to refund me the money I paid to have the floor hand-scraped even though it was not my fault the stain was wrong. Don says he was unaware I wanted a refund and that he would have told me that he could still have had the floor hand-scraped and finished in a timely manner. I was unaware that he didn't know. This isn't my fault either. this due to lack of communication within his company. We tried to dispute our credit card just for the amount we paid for the hand-scraping. Peachey lied and said that we didn't want to get the hand-scraping done to to the second floor because we thought it would be easier to clean and that they were willing to hand-scrape the floor if we sent it back, custom orders are non refundable and they remade our floor out of the kindness of their heart. Seriously? We lost the dispute due to this. We never said anything about it being easier to clean and they were only willing to hand-scrape the floor if we paid for the refinishing. Beware
