Been to this store three times in the last month...and left every time without what I came for. When you ask for help...the people say aisle this bin that...won't even walk you to the section..even when you tell them it is not there. Stood in line for 30 minutes at carpet and was not even sure the guy noticed I was there. Asked for caulking and the paint department could not help me because computers were down. I said you work here in this department right...yea but computers are down so I don't know where it is...good grief.. Asked to have wood cut the reply was..I guess if the machine is working. This place has no customer service and I will never be back! Awful!! Then when I did manage to find the items I came for on my own...I had to stand in line and be offered thier card...ha! Seriously! I don't need your card...I'm never coming back!

It's a big Lowe's, neat and tidy. Getting customer service can be challenging. Charlottesville has a super low unemployment rate.

I was looking for plants and information. They were busy, but took time out to answer my question. Great selection of plants and herbs.

Knowing that it was going to be busy on a Saturday, I made a complete shopping list with item numbers, prices, and location. First, there were no lumber trolleys inside the store, a consistent problem that this location can’t seem to anticipate. Second, three of the first four items on my list were not in the listed location, out of stock, or missing identifying tags; of course help is nowhere to be found. I am not expecting service on a busy Saturday, but the terrible stocking this store does requires an associate to figure out. After 45 minutes in the store with 2/8 things on my list I walked out. It is a shame that this is the only home improvement store open on the weekends in Charlottesville; but the extra hour of driving to Home Depot and back is probably worth it due to the sheer amount of time wasted in Lowe’s. Also, two months ago I bought a floor model dishwasher that the sales associate said worked fine but had a dent. Apparently it was returned from a home install gone wrong. When I installed it, it displayed a flood switch error which was not what the associate said was the problem. I was able to fix it after contacting the manufacturer but either the sales associate lied or this store is so incompetent that they do not record the problems of returned appliances from their installers.
