Alex installed a basement floor for me over a tile floor that had been damaged by water. His advice on materials and selection was invaluable. The work quality was excellent and done on time. He kept me informed of when materials were arriving and personally supervised the installation. I thought the price was very fair. I highly recommend him.

Diligently shopped with my designer for wall to wall carpet, bound rug, and sisal stair runner with border. Went with crown carpet because Alex said he gave me best price considering what I wanted. Paid for deposit in February. When I followed up months later on status he was confused with the border I was talking about and that it was discontinued. My designer and I were very specific on fabric and color. He guilted my over the cost and after months of waiting for installation (June) he installed it wrong and said it was again our fault (regardless of the fact we all met together to discuss measurements and execution). The entire experience was horrible. He threatened legal actions which was a joke because I had a paper trail and texts of him threatening me. Shame on him but shame on me for picking crown carpet because he said he gave me good price. Regretful I did not go with Ali at Best Carpet in McLean.

Crown Flooring Center did a fantastic job in sourcing and installing carpeting throughout our home as part of a remodeling project. The owner, Alex, personally came to the house to take measurements, patiently spent hours at his showroom helping us select a number of different types of wall to wall carpeting, put together a proposal at the prices quoted, and then made sure the installation proceeded as planned. Throughout the process he made himself available by phone, email, and in person (both at his store and even coming by our house). His response time to calls/questions was exceptional. Personally familiar with the uncertainty that comes with remodeling, Alex was also incredibly flexible with scheduling the installation. He was willing to hold off on installing carpeting in a couple of specific rooms which required sending his crew out a second time. He did so without any additional charge. Alex is a really pleasant guy to talk to and is knowledgeable on a whole host of construction issues. Crown Flooring Center's installation crew was also excellent. They were accommodative with respect to scheduling, professional, and did an excellent job installing the carpet. The leader of the crew even did a little out of scope work for free that required a special machine and an extra 20 minutes of his time. They also saved a few extra pieces of carpeting at our request knowing that we might be moving a closet wall in the near future. I highly recommend Alex, his installation crew, and his company Crown Flooring Center. We will certainly use them for any future wall-to-wall or area rug carpeting needs and suggest that anyone else looking for excellent service at very competitive pricing do the same.

Initially I posted a positive review but I must take it back. Alex uses shoddy installers for his work and will not supervise installation. Instead of fixing bumps in my floor, he proposed hacks including using roofing material? When questioned, his response was "I work with upscale clients in McClean who don't question or bargain". Now he's refusing to give a receipt for the hardwood we paid for and is resorting to constant foul language. Shame on you Alex. Stay away - this guy is unappreciative of anything but rich clientele whom he loves to milk. I will contact the distributor he works with and Mullican Flooring.

Very pleased with all aspects! What a pleasure compared to other flooring and carpet stores, especially Home Depo! Alex was very knowledgeable and came out to the house himself to be sure we were getting the correct product to match previous flooring. His crew, Park and Pedro were quick, careful, thorough with all the details, and very pelasant to work with. They go the job done in a day as promised and also did a great job repairing water damage to another room's hardwood floor. We will go back when we are ready to do the last room that needs to be redone!
