Romanoff Floors Inc

I read the reviews before they did any work.....I didn't pay attention to them and I should have. Stay away from this company, far away. They were the contractors hired by Home Depot to put in a hardwood floor. They arrived on time and within 10 minutes said they needed more money. I felt like it was a shakedown. I sent them packing. When I called the office the woman admitted they didn't have the "skill set" to do the job. What?! My son in law and I did the in 2 days. Heed the warnings.

Great place to work! Awesome people & work!

I purchased Vinyl Planks and Cherry Laminate from Home Depot, paid for my install, in cash, 3 weeks before we needed the job done, due to prior business commitments. All was scheduled. However, when questions were posed to romanoff, the dance around the answers was worthy of Dancing With The Stars. I firmly stated that they needed 3 days and at least 4 people on this job. The woman who stood guard over the phone could not tell me how many were on the crew and that only 2 days were required, because of their expertise and experience. This proved to be less than truthful and quite disturbing. The crew of 2 showed up, Day One at 0915. They, the 2, sat in their van, in my drive, till 20 mins later. They entered. They walked around, discussing the job till 1000. The flooring was decided to be run East West. And they took a break, back in their van. Tools were located and brought into house. The bath, hall, and bedroom were readied by removing carpet, padding and loose prior bath laminate. Break time, in van..... Bath vinyl was laid. North South. Removed, relaid, East West, with another break. Bedroom was laid....4 runs, 2 breaks in between. Now I know I have dogs, and they have accidents. Moisture running 30 in spots. Fans purchased and placed. At 1430, time to leave. They packed up and hit the road. The living room, kitchen, and 2nd bath, looked forlorn. My wife and I removed the living room carpet, to help get a jump on next day. 2nd Day.... Arrival at 0905. Walked in...looked around. Can't lay in hall, can't lay in bedroom. I told the crew I would remove the 4x5 piece of osb, install new in bedroom and remove, replace 3x4 in hall. Meanwhile, start kitchen and living room. Can't do that, pics must be sent, have to wait. I lost my mind. Told the professional flooring crew to vacate my property and please, do not stop till the entrance to the interstate. Phoned Home Depot, explained the situation and gave my estimated arrival time for my Instant Refund. Home Depot, John, manager, GREAT Guy, listened to me and was somewhat sympathetic. However, had to wait for romanoff to give their position. That all went out the exit when the pics my wife took, show the inept work 'done' by Ren and Stimpy. My refund was cheerfully given. Here's my Pro Tip... RUN AWAY FROM ROMANOFF FLOORING.

Do not use! Get a good contractor with references.

Took two weeks to get on the schedule for these jokers and the day of the install they called to cancel because the truck broke. Apparently renting a truck to complete the job was out of the question and I was offered another appointment 10 days later. After having completely broken down my house to have the carpet installed by this group, I wasn't about to give them a second chance to screw me over. Canceled the order and received a full refund. Avoid Home Depot flooring as long as they are using this organization
