Colvin Floors has installed carpeting and wood floors for us over the past two years. Their work was top notch and finished on time. Most recently they carpeted around our full-size pool table, leaving the original carpet under the table in a perfect rectangle. We couldn't move the table , so this solution seemed the simplest and most cost effective. The resulting inlay looks great. We would recommend this company for a variety of home improvement projects.

Based on 5 star reviews for Colvin Floors, husband & I visited this store on a recent Sat morn; met with Henry Colvin. Very pleasant & accommodating with our questions & in looking at all the sheet vinyl samples. Surprisingly, no prices were posted for the vinyl but we asked & rec'd per sq yd prices for each & wrote them down on paper Henry provided us. Husband asked for approx installation prices: labor per sq yd & adhesive materials -- Henry provided those costs too -- we wrote them down. Borrowed a few vinyl samples easily -- left our name & phone #-- went on our way. 2 days later, we called to ask for someone to come out & measure so that an actual cost proposal could be made. Shane Colvin -- Henry's son -- came out w/n 2 days -- quickly & efficiently measured the area -- said they'd probably be able to do this job w/n 3-5 days & they'd be back in touch with proposal soon. 2 days later, Gordon called & provided specifics & all costs -- said the vinyl we'd picked would be $15.95/yd ; floor would need to be skimmed prior to install adding about $1000+ to the costs, labor for install alone was much higher than what Henry had quoted, & it would be about a month before it could be done. We were stunned by this info -- Henry had quoted us $13.95/yd for each of the vinyls we liked ; surface to be covered did not need skimming, labor costs inflated & the timetable was way over what we'd expected. Husband discussed all this with Henry & reminded him of our recent visit -- Henry remembered us but said "don't know why I'd quote that price" then "how about we split it down the middle & I'll give it to you for $14.95 a yd?" Husband ended call which also ended our interest in Colvin Floors. Buyer Beware! There's a reason no prices are posted!

Special ordered a flooring style that they sell in the store, just wanted a color they did not have. They order the product for us. When we got home and opened the box it was not at all even close to the flooring type we looked at in their store. After calling to discuss ways to resolve this we were told we were stuck with the flooring. I am a contractor and have worked with many company's over the years, this type of customer service is the poorest I have ever seen. They did nothing to even attempt to make this good. We have our receipt where there is no info that discribes what they ordered. I understand at times special orders can be funny, but it's the good company's that take the time to insure that the customer orders what they want. These people did nothing to insure the customer got what they wanted, they should take the time to go over the product with the customer prior to placing the order. After 4 trips to their store looking at the same product that they have on display you would think it was clear that's what we wanted, instead we got something they don't even stock.

We had recently bought a house which the floors we really wanted to change. We stopped in here because of the 5 star reviews on google...after almost an hour discussing options and procedures...we knew we were definitely going to be sticking with Shane and Henry (the owners). They were very professional, friendly, understanding and extremely knowledgeable with their trade. At no point did we feel rushed or pressured into anything. We originally went in wanting hardwood floors and by the time we came out we were wanting something cheaper, very long lasting, durable and of course...beautiful.(We weren't sold into another product...we found it and asked questions which made us change our mind) We will definitely be coming back for all of our flooring needs. Give your business to this fine company that will work with you to create the floors you want to have for a lifetime.

Wonderful company! The floors they installed for us were a great value & beautiful. They worked us into their install schedule quickly & have fantastic customer service. I would definitely recommend them to a friend & am highly likely to use them for our next renovation project.
