BUYER BEWARE. NOT ONLY IS THE WORKMANSHIP POOR, YOU CANNOT TRUST THEY WILL INSTALL WHAT THEY SAY! I will post pics later. I am still working with Will to hopefully get my install done properly, and get what i ordered. I will update this review if they fix their mistakes. We recently bought a house and the previous installer we used wasn't available to to the install this month so we decided to go to Floors-A-Lot. Their products are the fine, exactly what we would get at any other store but we also had them install the carpet. HUGE MISTAKE! We had them do stairs, a small hallway and 3 bedrooms. Overall the carpet is loose, not sure if the installer didn't use a stretcher or doesn't know how to use one. And every seam is extremely obvious. On the stairs, each step was a different piece of carpet with a VISIBLE SEAM at the base of each riser. one tread width was cut about 1/2" short and a chunk of carpet was wedged into the gap. Some of the pads are cut almost 2" short of the edge of the step. some of the steps have enough loose carpet around the tread you can pinch the carpet in front of the step. In the master bedroom we had remodeled the closet and moved a wall, the tack strip was left where it laid and pad and carpet were laid on top. In one corner there was about 1 inch of extra carpet against the wall. Another corner had a tack strip that wasn't nailed down, another corner was cut an inch short with a small piece wedged in against the wall. in the closet there was a corner that didn't even have a tack strip and the carpet was about 1 inch too wide. In the other bedrooms: there is extra carpet against the walls, the carpet comes loose from the tack strip, there is dirt and construction debris under and around the pad. the carpet is "raised" in the doorways and it moves when you push or step on it. The worst part of this entire experience is the pad. we went and felt the pads and pick a 10# pad, but after reading other reviews of Floors-A-Lot, I was suspicious so i went down and asked for a 10# pad sample to compare, since they left so much pad showing in my house. there is no way what was installed was 10# pad. I went down to the store to make a plan to reconcile these issues but the installer won't be able to do it until next week because he has other houses to do. BUT HE HASN'T FINISHED HIS INSTALL FROM 3 DAYS AGO! I guess since they already cashed my check i'm not a priority. I don't have lot of hope for my carpet to be done correctly and think I have just wasted my money because I will have to get someone else to come in and fix it. What i really want is my money back, I would even remove and return this carpet myself if it meant I could get a full refund.

They did not install the pad that was in our contract. They used the wrong tack strips. They didn't nail down the track strips, they didn't cut pieces evenly and would stuff carpet into the gouges to try and hide it, they didn't stretch the carpet, the stairs were done all wrong, it looked terrible and felt terrible- like the pad didn't go to the edge of the stair, the carpet didn't reach the wall. When we tried to work it out with the company they refused to admit they did anything wrong, instead they told us we should be grateful we have such nice carpet. We reminded them we paid for the nice carpet and we wanted it installed correctly. It was a fiasco, the refunded us the labor on the stairs, and the cheapest version of their pad. We are stuck with the cheap pad under the carpet. We called a different installer, he came out, we didn't even have to tell him what went wrong, he saw even more than we did and couldn't believe they are still in business. He in one afternoon made it so we could at least move into our bedrooms. He had to reorder more carpet for the stairs to redo them completely pad and all. Floorsalot was an awful company to work with and their end product is shameful and their business practice seems very crooked and shady (like we didn't get the pad written in the contract, and they were upset that we lifted the carpet to verify-granted them not tacking the carpet down made this very easy to do....but they were caught, they didn't do what the contact said-which is the only reason why I think that we got a little of a refund. So disappointing!

On first day of install I heard nothing from the store and installer showed up around 10. (A lot later than I had expected) Got tack strips and padding done and went to get carpet cut. Installer measured the floor and said he'd be back in an hour or 2. (That was about 1) Around 4 when I hadn't heard anything, I called the store. Turns out that the Home Depot measurement I provided wasn't sufficient. And when the estimator came out he didn't take even one measurement. The issue was they were going to need more carpet than initially thought. And I was going to have to pay for it because in the wording of what I signed, I owed more. So I was going to have to pay not quite $200 more because the estimator didn't actually do his job and take measurements. Finally the installer came and did one room, because he said he would. (Keeping in mind there was one guy doing the work, for about 1000 sq. Ft.) The next day we had talked about arriving at 8. He finally showed up after 10 and had gotten to an accident. I was sorry to hear but why didn't anyone call me and tell me he was going to be late? The job got done. I'll end up paying a little less than Home Depot for probably nicer carpet. They could also get me in the schedule faster than Home Depot. It ended up costing me more than estimate because of their oversight and one person installing took awhile. We had gone here because a friend had them put in carpet in 2 of their houses without issues. The only reason why they got 2 stars was because the installer did a good job and it got done (eventually). Oh and the leftover scraps of carpet & padding have been sitting at the top of our driveway for almost 5 days waiting for someone to come get it. Bottom Line: I won't go back and I don't recommend them.

It's been about two years since our install and the carpet is bulging near the walls and seams. I called to ask them to correct the issue and they said their service is out of warranty, meaning they won't stand behind their work. Very disappointed with their service.

We bought a floor a while ago for our house from floors a lot so when we took over a hair salon we decided to use them again ! They were helpful and friendly picking out floors but we had never used them for installation boy was that a mistake ! They suggested this water proof scratch resistant vinal beautiful floor ! The first small room turned out great then they went to the huge waiting room and the seems r all crooked and noticeable and they didn't seal most of them there r gouges cut out of the corners of the door ways and cuts its already starting to curl up ! Then they didn't finish the trim and when they were only half way done they charged my credit card double what the estimate was without consulting with me when I was told half down and the rest when finished ! Then the sweet sister of the owner Will was so rude about the complaints and concerns we have ! NEVER GO TO FLOORS A LOT! You will get raped! They could at least of worn a mask! Ugh!!!!
