UPDATE:
In response to your reply Brittan, it was a repeated concern of mine, as your installer came in and tucked my carpet back under the transition instead of fixing it, so when I vacuumed it came right out. Yes, you did send out a qualified installer to fix this problem AFTER I had called, sent pictures and pleaded with your office personnel who told me that 3 other installers looked at the pictures I sent and said that the problem was due to pets, then it was the integrity of the glue in the carpet. In short, I had been through a lot to get your company to uphold the warranty on my carpet and installation. I had waited months, had made several calls and had been ignored and/or called a liar. Your company needs to review policy and stick to it. I have purchased upwards of 25K worth of appliances, flooring, etc... from Lowe’s, I will take my business elsewhere because of this and am escalating my concerns to corporate. **Consumers beware**
Am I shocked to see these low scoring reviews...NO! I had my carpet installed by them 7 months ago through Lowe’s. I gave seam issues and carpet separating from the transition area in my home office. They came out and responded to my seam issue pretty quickly and did a quick fix on the seam issues with a small steel rod and it looked good until I vacuumed. Now, I have carpet separating from the transition area in my home office that has VERY low traffic and no pets in that room whatsoever. I called with my concern was told to send pictures to a cell phone and didn’t hear from them again until I called them 3 weeks later! I was told the installer is the best installer they have and he doesn’t do bad work, so it must be my fault. Then, Carol (office worker) blamed it on the integrity of the carpet, glue, yarn, whatever...Then, after sending out another installer, who agreed that the carpet was cut short in that area, Carol proceeded to blame it on pets, due to pics that I had sent 3 weeks prior totally disregarding what her installer had said, because he is on vacation with his family since it’s summer vacation. During our conversation I had asked her, “Do I need to call Lowe’s and maybe have them come out and see the carpet receding from the transition everyone I vacuum?” Carol took it as a threat and said that she’d call them also and I was free to call them if I so feel so.
In short, this is a terrible headache. I had them not call me back, not honor my warranty, have installers not show up when they were supposed to, and basically call me a liar when this looks to me as a quick fix. I had purchased my laminate flooring through Lowe’s, Emerald installation installed that too. I have spent a lot of money and just want what’s right. Lowe’s installation manager called me, because office worker Carol called him first and wAnts to come out and see this for himself. It’s a huge headache. I’m so unhappy all the way around. My appliances, flooring, and MANY other projects came from that Lowe’s. Will corporate hear about this? YES! Lowe’s should stand behind the companies they contract through. This company is not worthy of backing their work and should not be services a huge store like Lowe’s.
