We had tile, carpet, and hardwood floors done by Redi Carpet through the General Contractor we were using for our house remodel. The tile work was abysmal from the beginning. Tile lines didn’t match up, spacing was off, and grout thickness was different throughout. Hardwood floors were pretty good except for some nail holes that weren’t filled in with putty, some scratched thresholds, and a small section of missing hardwood in a closet. Carpet had some challenges. Some areas were frayed, weren’t tacked or tucked correctly, and we found several places where wood pieces were left under the carpet (ie they didn’t clean thoroughly while installing). We then had Redi Carpet come back during punch list to address the items. The carpet issues were addressed pretty well. Their tile work got a bit better but in the middle of the the work they pulled off the job because the General Contractor hadn’t paid them. Redi Carpet dent a lawsuit letter to both myself and the General Contractor and filed a lien against my house. Even though I had already paid the General Contractor, I still got the lien. Once the payment issues were settled, they came back to finish work but the quality again dropped. The remaining tile work wasn’t completed despite several walkthroughs. The touch ups on the wood floor and stairs made things worse. They just rushed through the job. Since it was punchlist work, they didn’t care about quality. And when approached about correcting the final items, they declined to come back and instead offered a small refund to have it fixed by somebody else. They don’t stand by their work and just want to move on to the next person they can scam. I even had the manager and GM at my house doing a walkthrough. They sound agreeable while they are in your presence but then turn on you when they aren’t. A simple email from me telling them my expectations for what remained to be fixed caused them to tell the General Contractor they weren’t coming back and to find somebody else to finish the work. The manager and GM couldn’t even give the common courtesy of providing me a response directly. Beware of using this company unless you like poor quality, endless rework, and no customer service.

Has all your carpet that you need. The prices aren't to bad, needs more of a selection on stain resistance carpet but probably has all you need in other types of carpet.

As owner of one of Colorado's largest property management companies, Redi has largely been there for us. Reasonable prices, fairly good response times (waning recently), and access to good product. Overhearing some recent complaints from our customers, I decided to use Redi for carpet install at my personal residence. I now see a bit of their point. After finally getting a response to install date (not time, or whether they were going to stretch our other carpets as agreed, however), the installers showed up on the morning of the install. All is going well. At one point, the place smelled like pot, so I asked if they were using pot, and if they were to stop. I apparently hurt someone's feelings, because the crew walked. WALKED. Now I understand if I hurt someone's feelings (sorry, really... I even talked with this person on the phone pleading to not walk, and that if he did, Redi would lose our corporate account, which it subsequently did), or maybe accused/challenged somebody of something they weren't doing, but this is the real world folks... we talk about tings before we get pouty and walk. Now things get worse. How? The first crew is gone now, and a second crew arrives. For about 5 minutes, it looked promising... until they walked as well. Their reason? We are not equipped to do an install like this. Really? Who dispatched you, and what did they tell you? Ughhh... wife in tears at this point. NOW... at about 3pm, the THIRD crew is here. Their prognosis? We can do some, but can not complete the job. Why, I ask? Because there is no time. Time, I ask?... please, feel free to stay here all night... I have furniture stacked on furniture, audio gear stacked on homework, a kid buried in there somewhere. Please, just finish. But no. Oh wait....4:12pm... just got word. No carpet stretching today either. The good news: can not go down any further from here.
