E & W Carpets

They're installing our cortex floors this week we r are excited. Conrad is very knowledgeable. He has a ton of samples....the most I have seen in any store. And we are renovating our house So I have been in 2 a lot of flooring stores. He has a great turn around and great prices!!!

We used E & W carpets for both tile and carpet. The tile went smoothly and looks beautiful. There was a problem with carpet installation; however, the issue was completely resolved immediately and the job was done very professionally and looks great! We would recommend E & W.

When we spoke to the sales person we let him know that we wanted our carpet installed on Monday April 10, 2017. We would be off that day, and the next day was my wife's birthday so we wanted to make sure it would be done.We called on Friday April 7th and made sure we were still on for Monday. He said they would be there between 8 - 9 AM. At 9:30 AM no installers. Called and was told they would be there around 10 AM. Nobody at 10:30 and then was told they will be there by 11. Nobody again, then was told 12 - 12:30 PM. When that came and went we were then told the installers had to do an installation at a dentist office because it was the only date they could do it. We spent Saturday, Sunday, and from Monday at 3 AM moving furniture into the garage, kitchen, and out on the lanai. They wanted to come later in the week. We said we cannot do that. They finally said they would come the next day, so ruined my wife's birthday. While talking with installers we found out that the sales person and Chad (owners son) lied to us multiple times. The sales person came out when the carpet install was half finished he said sign this. I said if you are asking us to say the job is done to our satisfaction, we are not signing until they are finished. He walked out then came back and said if you do not sign I am having the installer tear out the carpet. The installers said they would refuse to remove it. The sales person then said I need you to sign because this is our approval to start the job. He forgot to get us to sign it originally. I waited to do this review for 3 months as Chad promised he was going to make this up to us and was going to get my wife a $100 gift certificate to Benedetto's. He never did. When we went in to pay the final payment the day after the install we also asked for care instructions and he said they would email it to us. They never did. The installers deserve 5 stars, the rest should get minus multiple stars. I see most give great reviews, and if they had done what they promised, or at least had told us they would not be out on Monday we would have been much happier.

We hired E&W carpet to remove old carpet and install new on May 20, 2017. A few days after the installation my wife notices that the diamond on her wedding band had been pried loose and stolen. We eventually learn that it was one of E&W’s installers who had stolen it and then sold it to a pawn shop. We also later learn that that installer has a rap sheet a mile long, including charges for: Grand Theft, Violation of Probation, Domestic Battery, Driving with a Revoked Driver's License, and "ROBB. GUN/DEADLY WPN" and "HOAX BOMB, POSS.COMM / FELONY." When we initially spoke to the owner of E&W carpet, Chad, after the theft, he offered no apology, accepted no accountability, nor did he offer to help us out in any way. What he did do, however, was to charge my credit card the remaining $3,374 that was still due for the installation. We contacted Chad a second time to try and get some compensation since we had to buy the ring back from the Pawn Shop ($150) and get it fixed at a Jewelers ($470); this time he also started disputing a $500 rebate we were also supposed to get from the carpet manufacturer, now claiming that it "didn't apply to the type of carpet we purchased," which is not what we were told by him on several occasions. Chad said he'd "see what he could do” and then get back to us….that was over a month ago, and we have yet to hear back from him. This company is not concerned at all with customer satisfaction – only with their bottom line.
