Today (06-09-18) I had an urgent need for a unique size of wood to board up my entry eindow (that was shattered during a burglary) until a replacement window could be installed. Most all of the glazier companies that I called just had voice- mail recordings for the weekend, and only one had an on-call guy available for such emergencies. He told me it would cost $225 just to board up the broken window and a new window installed many days later would cost even more! Since I only needed to seal off an area measuring 71" x 10-1/2", I decided to call my neighborhood Home Depot on West Tropicana Avenue at South Decatur Boulevard in Las Vegas, NV, instead. Boy, am I glad I did! I received such wonderful compassion and service from both Randy and his supervisor Chris in the Lumber Dept. Randy even stayed past his shift to make sure everything was done correctly for me before he went off duty. Chris was invaluable with ensuring the proper selection and accuracy of my odd-sized lumber need. When I placed the wood inside the window casing, it fit so perfectly snug that I probably didn't need to secure it further with nails and wood screws (but I did anyway). I will forever be grateful for the services both of these gentlemen provided to help restore a feeling of safety in my own home after such a traumatic event. Once all of the police and insurance reports are finalized and a new window installed, I will be returning to MY Home Depot to change out the butterfly locks on my security gate and front door to the kind requiring a key to exit also, and maybe even a security camera system to prevent any future break-ins at home. Randy and Chris both get my vote for Best Customer Service Award of the Year! Thank you, Home Depot!!!

Willy and Craig who work in the pro service desk are the 2 best employees working here both very knowledgeable and have a sense of humor. Also pro service desk can use more staff most of time has long line and wait time but, them to work well under pressure.

I go in there to simply buy some batteries and the checker starts in on me about a Home Depot credit card. I told her I didn't want one and she said it's too late. I've already got the screen set up. I just need your driver's license and I can run it and see if you're approved. I said, NO. I'm in a bit of a hurry, I've got a customer waiting for me. So she says: fine. Lose 25 bucks then. Ok good i says. Home depot.... please knock it off with the pressure sales of credit cards.
