Much improved! Friendly service, and reasonable price. They take the time to look after customers and they are honest about what is needed. I have never been pressured into making a decision and they don't do useless repairs for a quick cash grab. They inform what the recommended service is, but always let me know I can have it done at my next appointment or in the future. They know that I will keep coming back because of that level of customer care.

Great Family business. They really care about their customers.

This is a retroactive review but I still feel the need to tell my story. I took my VW Vanagon in to get worked on - I'd had an issue with the fuel lines starting to leak a bit, among other things. Valks installed the wrong fuel lines which lead to the engine of my van literally catching fire! I put the fire out and got it towed back to Valks for them to try again. (They did NOT pay for my tow charge). A second time out - I drove to BC only to have the van unable to reach a speed past 80km/hr and run very rich. I called Valks to let them know. (My gas bill ended up triple what I would've normally spent due to it running so rich). I literally drove the van straight off the highway on my way home from my vacation directly to Valks and had to walk home. Great way to end a vacation, eh? Ok so second go at it...it was revealed that they YET AGAIN put on the wrong fuel lines. In fact the owner had printed off a handout about how VW Vanagons are constantly catching fire or even blowing up if improper fuel lines are installed! Upon picking my van up the owner basically said I'd dodged a bullet; I was lucky my van didn't catch fire again...or worse. Really? ...And the worst part about this is that they tried to charge me each time for the new parts - even though it was entirely their fault..not to mention my garage and home could've burned down...or the fact the van was ready to explode like an 80s action movie at any given point! Did I mention my van stayed in their parking lot for 2 months of the summer while they "worked" on it? My perspective : Zero accountability, they don't stand behind their work, completely unsafe, rip off artists...can't say enough negative stuff about Valks. Stay away - unless you like being overcharged and having your vehicle catch fire.

I found everyone at Valk's to be friendly and informative. They have helped me out a few times now, each time describing my options to me. I will not be taking my car anywhere else.
