Quality service at decent prices. Love it! The owner is honest and knows about cars. He is Dutch ;). Do I need to say more?

Good service. Been using them for a number of years. Have always been able to fit me in.

They were able to fit us in when another mechanic couldn't. Quick, reliable service.

Sierra Automotive literally came to our rescue last summer. We were towing our trailer to catch the ferry to Nanaimo and stopped briefly before heading to the terminal. When we went to leave our brake pedal sunk to the floor with no pressure. We looked outside the vehicle to find a puddle of brake fluid under the truck. Long story short... our brake line blew just before needing to board the ferry. Needless to say we did miss our ferry, however, due to the heroic efforts of Sierra automotive they prioritized our vehicle and had us back on the road late the following day so that instead of losing our whole holiday (which was prebooked/no refund) we only lost one night's stay. Thank you, thank you to Sierra. We would recommend you highly to anyone. They also did a great job!!

Not the best customer service experience but they get things done. Side note, I'm the type of person who read all reviews, see the pros and cons and compares prices before deciding to buy. Had a flat tire from a cracked rim over the weekend and car was near empty on gas. Wanted to fill up at Point Roberts after the rim was fixed, so the towing company suggested that I bring it here. I called the shop and was told to leave the car parked with the key in an envelope and a note in the mail and they would call me on Monday. I called Monday morning, explained that I have new tires to put on the two back rims, and that one rim needed fixing, which I will take to a different shop myself because I didn't want to pay for the courier fee and they had the best Reviews. Asked some questions about the process and asked for a quote on the tire change. I don't think he liked being asked these questions as I was told to bring my car elsewhere if I'm asking for quotes because he has other jobs that will pay the shop much more than a tire change for the time my car will be at his shop. He also mentioned that I should have bought Japanese cars because they're more reliable, and than these (German) cars, as they are too sensitive. This may be true but the problem was an aftermarket, neither German nor Japanese, cracked rim. Also, it didn't help the situation to be told what car I should and should not have bought. I wasn't going to pay for another tow, and he seemed reasonable, so not knowing what they were going to charge me, I dropped off one new tire for them to change, and picked up the cracked rim and dropped it off at a wheel repair shop. Picked up the fixed rim with the new tire on it, and brought it back to Sierra Automotive and was told to pay $60 for the one tire change. I'm not sure how the tire change pricing works. Is it cheaper when you change more tires or is it priced one amount per tire? I was expecting something like $40 for the one back tire as my local mechanic charged me $80 to change the front two tires, when I supplied him with the tires. Would Sierra have charged me $120 for the labour if I wanted them to change both tires? I didn't want to bother with more questions so I paid and left. All in all, they're straight forward, will do a good job, but keep it short and get to the point quickly!
