McCracken Auto has been just great to work with. I have a 12 year old vehicle that's had some mysterious issues lately. They have managed to solve them and their prices are really fair. I'm happy to recommend them.

Had a misfire on my car. After doing what I can to try to figure out the problem I needed a diagnostic and decided to bring it to McCracken Auto in Cobourg. They were able to take my car in quickly and were able to figure out the problem, charges were very reasonable and service was friendly. It was nice to be able to speak to the mechanic face to face and not have to relay info via third person. This will be my go to mechanic from now on!

My car wouldn't start this morning, so I put my call in through CAA. McCracken's came with their battery assist truck! It took a good 10 or 15 minutes, but he kept trying, and we finally got it! It is an old battery that needs replacing but I am so thankful he got my car started this very cold morning!!!

This place is the most insane ripoff I would not recommend to my biggest enemy. If you don't pick up your car within a day they will put it in their locked lot and charge you $60 per day and hold your vehicle hostage until you pay the accrued fee of whenever you pick it up. If you have CAA tow your vehicle there and they tell you it's a safe shared 'open' lot you again will have to pay for your vehicle to be taken out of their gated locked area until you pay whatever they tell you to pay without showing any documentation to when your car was moved their. they are scam artists and rip-offs and I don't know how their employees sleep at night ; nevermind the owner 'Gary' I can't believe these people are still in business. after calling around to local Auto shops they said this is the worst inept disgusting company that makes the entire industry look bad. shame
