I have dealt with Florida Detroit Diesel-Allison on a couple of occasions, and have to say that I'm beyond impressed! Kyle, one of their great mechanics, has worked on my truck twice now. The first time, he did a timing belt change and replaced numerous components. The price was definitely fair, and the work was top notch. This time, while I wasn't so lucky with the outcome of the diagnostics (pretty major cylinder head issue), they once again showed that their pricing is fair, and they go the extra mile for the customer. Billy, the service manager, is great to deal with as well. Thumbs up for FDDA!

I've had my series 60 motorcoach in for issues twice. In both cases I found I had to assist with diagnosis, or I would have been taken advantage of. The first issue was the hydraulic fan not cycling, staying on all the time. After the computer diagnosis they suggested I buy a new computer module for $ 2000 + to see if it might fix the problem. I decided to remove the module myself and send it to Pittsburgh. The diagnosis showed no problems with the module. I started looking in to the matter myself and found that the bus never had a wire run from the module to the radiator fan control. I added the control wire and problem solved. It would have cost me $ 2600 for no solution. I should not have to be doing their diagnosis work!! Second issues was a little similar, I finally had to diagnosis the problem myself after $ 600 for no results, and poor diagnostic skills. For what I'm paying I should not be explaining theory and operation to the mechanics. Perhaps on the mechanical side they are ok, but certainly lost when it comes to diagnosis.
