Honorable and Trustworthy Passenger Diesel Repairs I have a passenger truck diesel. Autolink is a shipping company that has their own in house 18 wheeler diesel mechanics. I have a local gas mechanic that usually does my repairs. However, when I had a water pump leak, he wouldn't take the job (friday). I found these folks on line. As they do 18 wheelers, I asked before I came if they could work on passenger diesels and they said yes. In general, they charge a nominal fee to inspect and isolate the problem. If you get it fixed there, they waive the fee and charge you parts and labor. For my truck, they couldn't isolate the exact problem, but they said end of day, 4 shop hours plus parts. I agreed. At the end of day, they realized that this was a bigger job and we ended up negotiating a revised estimate. Over the weekend, I reviewed on line similar trucks replacement costs. On line this was an 8 hour job. Long story short, this ended up taking 2.5 days (they probably had 10 to 16 hours in). However, they honored the fri negotiated price. The truck seams to be running fine with the problem fixed. Quality of the finished work seems excellent. I would return for major diesel repairs. I will however, look up on line the basic procedures for the task and discuss this with them before proceeding. I believe their shop rate to be reasonable. I believe them to be honest brokers. Their is some minor language difficulties (Spanish and Asian). Hence the reason for printing out the procedures and discussing before starting work. Their shop rate is good. They know diesels. The quality seems good.
