I am absolutely livid. My dad brought in his hauling truck into American Diesel and, upon inspection from Chris, was told parts needed to be changed out and with everything included (tax and all) would cost around $2400. Fine. My Dad stated he needed it done by Tuesday. Fine. Once the verbal agreements were made, my dad waited 30 minutes waiting for a written estimate. After waiting 30 minutes, he goes into the office asking for Chris and his estimate. Chris left. HE LEFT. No word, no estimate. So, the next best thing, he asks the others workers in the office to pull a copy of his estimate so he can have it for his records. They say no estimate exists and they won't give him one. It'll be fine, they said. It's fine. So, in good faith, my dad leaves his truck in their care. Shame on them as well as my dad. He comes back Tuesday. They're not done with it. Chris is not in the office and he can't be reached. They were "still working on it" so my dad extended his already time sensitive schedule to meet a Friday Deadline. Friday comes around. STILL NOT DONE. Surprise, surprise, CHRIS WASN'T THERE AND COULDN'T BOTHER TO CALL. My dad says he absolutely needs it for work, so he'll be in next week on Monday as soon as they open. Monday comes around and BAM. The invoice states almost 1K additional costs than the estimated amount!! Fine, let's say my dad may have misheard the price or maybe it's his fault for leaving without a written estimate (EVEN THOUGH THEY SHOOED HIM AWAY WITHOUT ONE), but no courtesy call? HOW DOES A MECHANIC PERFORM SERVICES AND CHARGE EXTRA WITHOUT NOTIFYING THE CUSTOMER?!?! Let's say you found extra work was needed--THEN TELL ME ABOUT IT!! TELL ME HOW MUCH MORE WORK IS NEEDED!!! Chris' excuse for not calling -"I was busy". WHO ISN'T BUSY?! DO YOUR EMPLOYEES DO NOTHING?!! Is it so difficult to delegate simple tasks to your employees AS THE OWNER? My dad is in a rage and trying to communicate with these horrible people as much as he can in his broken English and resorts to calling my brother to speak over the phone for him with Chris to try and make sense of this situation. Same results. "Rude and a crook" sums up his conversation. My dad then proceeds to take pictures of all the "exchanged/broken" parts and asks to take the broken parts. Chris refuses because apparently they have to "dispose of them in a specific way". I call FOUL. I bet you more than anything that the parts he exchanged were FINE to begin with or just lied about changing them at all. In the end, my dad reluctantly pays the >$3K with a company check and what does Chris do? He tells my dad he has to pay by card. Why, he asks. HE SAID MY DAD'S CHECK WOULD BOUNCE. Who is he to say if the check would go though or not?! IT'S A COMPANY CHECK. THE AUDACITY. I don't throw discrimination accusations around lightly, or EVER, but this guy was clearly discriminating against my dad!!!!! HOW DARE HE. He took advantage of my dad. He can't speak English well, so he probably thought it'd be easy to pull one over on him, so why not go one step further and throw some blatant discrimination in the mix. It's been extremely difficult not to use any profanities in this long narrative of a rant, but Chris, I hope this gives you some perspective. My sincerest hope is that anyone who reads this will immediately be appalled and never think twice about going here.
