I've been taking my car - 2006 BMW Z4 - to Pacific Motors for a couple of years now. Today was my latest visit. Yesterday afternoon my car didn't start. Sounded like a dead battery. That evening I called AAA & the tow truck operator jump started my car and advised that I get a new battery today. I called at about 9AM and they told me to bring the car in ASAP. I got there about 10 and they said they'd have it ready by 2. It needed an oil change so I had them do that, also. They called me just before noon to tell me that they'd found something leaking around the oil filter. They said it was a common problem for this car (or BMW's in general?) as they got older. I told them to go ahead and replace the part and they told me that the car wouldn't be ready till about 5. I had to wait a few minutes after I got there for them to finish up. Kyle took care of me at the front desk in the morning and Jim finished up in the afternoon. Both of them are very professional - calm, happy to give you as much explanation as you want and Jim showed me the old part. I don't know much about car engines but it was obvious that oil was leaking out of the part. I think I received excellent service. They got me in that day - and they had a full schedule - and then stayed late to finish up. They found a leak early on in the problem saving me from having oil stains on my driveway. They're not cheap but, then, quality service, in any field, never is. And they are still a lot less expensive than having repairs done at the dealership.

They lied to me. Told me I needed new front brakes and when I took my car somewhere else to have them done I was told I still have 50% of my brakes left. I'm wondering how many of the other "needed" repairs I've gotten here were a scam.

This place is terrible! Every time we come here the owner tries to convince us something is unsafe with our car and it needs thousands of dollars in repairs. That is never the truth. We stopped coming here a long time. None of the locals use this place because they know better. Most of the reviews on here are fake. Check out the Yelp portfolio of these guys if you don't believe me... 2/5 stars.....

Horrible experience, after a costly service to replace two tires. They attached wheel locks on my vehicle........for all four tires. When I returned 2 months later due to faulty manufacturing in the tire wall, they asked where I had the wheel lock. I told them not only do I not have the key, but that they fixed my car last, and replaced those tires. So instead of taking the wheel locks off they broke the one and left the rest. I'm having to pay $$$$ to get them all replaced, and they ruined the strut to the tires they replaced. Overall I would not recommend this service to anyone who wants a good job done, with a competitive and decent price.

At 5:20PM on a Friday I am towed into their lot. My alternator is out, taking my battery with it. Kevin finds a supplier who will deliver a new alternator after hours, and then stays 90 minutes past closing time to personally make sure that I can get my vehicle back in time for a cross-state move. It is very rare to find a business that will go the extra mile for their customers. I wish I could take them with me, as I would go to them exclusively for all of my vehicle repairs.
