Great Auto Shop to get any kind of work done including standard services, transmissions or repairs. I had a small part replaced that would have cost twice as much and a whole day at the dealership. Mark got the part within a couple hours and got it done in an hour! They even worked out a service to get my tires replaced for me at Loyd's Tires next door for less than the dealership. I took the car on a 1k mile road trip with no issues. I would trust my vehicles with Scotts Valley Transmission & Auto Care any time.

Passing though Scotts Valley, I thought I was having a transmission issue with my 2001 Ford Excursion. They ran diagnostics and said the transmission is fine and that I actually had a fuel leak. They got that fixed, serviced the transmission, and performed a couple of other engine repairs as well. They had diagnosed some other issues, but I was not in a position to get those done. They gave me the full print-outs for when I would be able to get it into another shop.

I was told my transmission needed replaced $4K+ I took it to Scotts Valley transmission for a second opinion. They found no problem with the transmission, the problem was in the ignition system, this saved me $$$$.00. My truck now runs great.

I'm a pretty accomplished amateur mechanic and rebuilt the tranny on one of my cars. Still, I can't be considered a pro. While the car seemed to run okay it was just a little rough when shifting - sometimes hunting between gears at certain speeds. I finally decided to bring it in for SVT to review. They quickly found that the vacuum modulator was leaking through the diaphragm. The price to fix was fair and the tranny works perfectly now.
