From the looks of their personal rigs these guys know their way around trucks. Unfortunately for me it took nearly two months to suss our a transmission rebuild and not once in that time did they call to update me on the status. There were mis-diagnoses and lots of "we’re not sure what’s wrong". Some of that is fine... but zero communication about it and many “It’ll be ready Friday... then Monday...Wednesday... etc. is not. When I finally picked it up they couldn’t print a receipt and never emailed one as promised. If you’re after quick work, good diagnoses, and solid communication... check out Advanced Automotive.

The best mechanics in Salida! These guys are straight shooters that treat their customers right. Some of the nicest fellas around too.

These guys Rock and I highly recommend them. A wheel bearing failed on my van near Salida Auto and Diesel repair and I limped in. I was greeted by Allan and told they would try to get my vehicle repaired soon. Within 2 days all the repairs were complete - Instead of replacing the spindle they re-threaded the part I'd damaged driving in - These guys are the real deal - Real mechanics - Honest and capable - Thanks for fixing my van for half of what I anticipated it would cost - Yippie
