Been meaning to write this review for a while and I finally sat down to do it. A few months back I had some issues with my 2006 PT Cruiser. The timing belt snapped and I had taken it to another auto shop initially, however they "forgot" to replace a key part of the timing belt mechanism (the tensioner) and I brought it to Metro to have them fix it since I didn't trust the first mechanic to do it again, especially after what the estimated the second repair cost would be. Metro put the cost estimate at less than $200, which was very manageable for me at the time. However, it turned out that the repair job would need more time and a different part, but they kept the original estimate and got my car back to me in a reasonable time frame. I was very impressed with their customer service and their work. They explained to me and showed me the part that was damaged and what they did to replace it. It's honestly been one of the best mechanic experiences in my life. I'm taking my car back to them soon, and I cannot recommend them enough. They are good people who put the customer first rather than themselves, and it's rare to see that in a mechanic nowadays. Thanks, Metro!

If you are not super familiar with cars (like me) and how to stay on top of the upkeep they'll go over everything with you! I dropped my car off for an oil change today and it didn't take 3 hours like other shops! Really lovely and down to earth folks own and operate this shop. Definitely a rad place to come back to.

Metro Auto and Truck Repair is the BOMB! Paul is not only an outstanding mechanic, but he's a problem solver too! Lisa is helpful, understanding and friendly. We brought our Toyota tacoma to Metro needing an engine install after several shops turned us down. Adding to the issue was our truck had been partially worked on (but never finished) and Paul had to pick up where a previous mechanic left off. Paul was personable, professional, honest, fair and took care of us. His rates were even lower than anywhere else. He fixed our truck quickly and my son and I are very happy. I choose Metro over other shops because of the high customer ratings on google, and now I'm doing the same. I highly recommend Metro Auto & Truck Repair. In Southside!
