I've never had a bad experience with a Midas before coming to this branch. After taking my car to get a safety check, they said that I need to fix the driver's power window because it would not open as a condition of passing the safety check. They did not have the part in stock so I prepaid for the part and the labor and they said they would pass the car and then contact me no later than 8-9 business days. After 12 business days of not hearing anything I called them back. Apparently the manufacturer gave them the wrong quote for the power window switch and the part actually costs $170+ more than the $280 or so that I already paid for! I talked to the manager and he refused to do the repair even though a.) I already paid for the part at the price they gave me, b.) it was their fault for not checking the price before charging me, and c.) there were no other changes to the contract (ie., it was not a different part just wrong price). They refused to give me the part that I validly paid for! I refused to pay the extra cost because I can't afford it and they initially also refused to give me a refund because apparently it would invalidate my safety check (that they already issued despite the supposed safety issue) because their issuance of the safety check was on the condition of getting this repair done. Don't trust these guys and watch out for hidden costs at this place and breaches of contract! You pay for something and they say they'll do it and then when you try to get them to do something they charge you a lot extra for their own incompetence! If only they would own their mistake and fix the car for the price that I paid for!

My brakes were starting to make noise and I had just had a brake job done at Midas 6 months before. I'd got the lifetime warranty on my front brakes, now my rear brakes were going too, so now all my brakes are warrantied for life. They were friendly and quick. Paid a little over $800 for complete brake job on rear brakes (new pads and rotors).

Do Not Go!!! Extremely overpriced, more than the dealership. Told me i needed new rotors, which i didn't come to find out. On a side note, i did a little research of my own and ended up changing the brake pads myself for the first time. Easy to do. Cost me $40 in brake pads, borrowing someone's basic tool set (wratchet set and screwdriver), and 45 min of my time. Original estimate from Midas? Over $500. Avoid at all costs. Pun intended.

This Midas location is the BEST auto service in Kaimuki, hands down. The guy there I think his name is Tony is a super-awesome mechanic -- he is genius. We were turned away from other places or quoted outrageous prices for work and Midas has been very affordable, not to mention a very friendly customer service as well.

AVOID this place like the plague. They will do such a shity job on your car repair. Had them fix my thermostat, charged me $700! Only for it to break a year later! I would rather buy a new car then fix my car here! Atrocious customer service, most ridiculously high prices ever!
