This Kenworth shop was great. I experienced a breakdown on my 50' Wilson Road Brute flatbed about 19 miles west of their shops location and was unable to get my truck and trailer to their shop. I had to have them send a road service truck to my location. The mechanic arrived promptly (within the hour) to survey the damage to the trailer hub. He was very polite and understanding to my situation. The plan was to remove the damaged hub from the trailer axle and take it back to their shop to perform the repairs. We took the damaged hub off and he headed to the shop. Once at the shop it was determined the original hub was beyond repair and required replacement. The mechanic returned with a new hub which contained new bearings/races, wheel bolts and a new seal. He installed the new hub and installed the wheels and filled it with fluid. That's when the fun began. We drove for about 4 miles toward Lewiston Idaho and the new inner bearing had seized up. He pulled the hub to determine what had happened. Needless to say, we had to replace the bearings again but it took us almost 4 hours to remove the seized bearing from the trailer spindle and repair the spindle so it would accept a new bearing. This required cutting the bearings inner race off of the spindle with a die grinder and using and air hammer and chisel to drive it off. Next we had to polish the living hell out of the spindle with Emory cloth so the new bearing would slide on with the new hub. After polishing the spindle until our arms were feeling like Jell-O we had finally reached the point that the new bearing would install correctly. He assembled the new hub and bearings onto the spindle and filled it with fluid, installed the wheels and adjusted the brakes and we were back in business. He followed me for 25 miles in his service truck and we stopped every few miles to check the fluid level and the temperature of the hub. Everything was finally ready. This mechanic went beyond his normal duty to help me get this trailer fixed so I could finally deliver this load of steel. I thanked him over and over for helping me get the job done and I thanked him for his service in the Marine Corp. Thank you Kenworth for getting me back on the road.

Good service not always have parts in stock

Do to a failure on the part of the mechanics, and the fact that they don't care to resolve the issue appropriately, I have decided that if I need repairs done on my truck, I will take it somewhere else, and even get a hotel room while waiting for the repairs instead of bringing my business to them. I will never return to this location for so much as a tire repair
