I've been coming to Golden Gears for 10+ years. Sam and the team always do a great job. It's invaluable to have a mechanic you can trust.

Truly impressed by GOLDEN GEARS, both the the level of professionalism of the staff and owner Sam as well as technical know-how. Overall, would (and will) return in a heartbeat. Honest & trustworthy-- two characteristics that are all too hard to find these days. Thank you, V, J and Sam. I'll be back (hopefully not too soon, though!)

I'm a small business owner from Virginia, and I'm hard to impress. A few months ago, one of my company vehicles was involved in an accident in Montgomery County. There was mechanical damage, and an officer with MCPD recommended Golden Gears. We had the car towed there and paid Sam and his team to do the work. They did well, and that was that. Or so I thought. Two days ago, a bolt in the suspension system (which Golden Gears had repaired) broke. While I suspected that there could be an issue with the work that was done, I had absolutely no way to prove it. My office called Sam and told him the truth: "We don't want to point fingers, but it looks like there might have been some kind of issue with the original work. But we also know that we can't prove that and the vehicle has been extensively used since repairs were done." Sam's response was nothing short of exceptional. He commented that it was important for him to stand behind his work. He repaired my car *at no charge* the next day. Not only did he do this, but he also paid 1) for the car to be towed from Alexandria to his shop, and 2) our towing bill incurred by FCPD's contractor because the car was blocking a major roadway when the bolt came off. Sam and his team deserve six stars. My customer service experience with Golden Gears was nothing short of exceptional.

Sam and his team are wonderful! He is honest, fair and will go out of his way to find the best solution to any issue your car may have. Sam is courteous and generous, and I highly recommend Golden Gears. I teach at a school nearby and we ALL take our cars to him. I just picked up my car from his spotless workshop, and Sam found a cosmetic flaw which he fixed on the spot, free of charge. Golden Gears is a treasure.
